I reduced the e2e test timeouts to speed up failure detection. Claude Code spotted the edit, blamed the linter, and restored the original values. I can't tell if it’s shielding my ego or if it thinks I am the tool. At this point, who knows?

Claude Code might be the first example of AI letting us write code faster than we can design a product. It's got agents, sub agents, skills, plugins, slash commands, etc. Is anyone in charge? That being said, I'm a big fan and use it all the time.

I wish Spotify's "go to song radio" feature worked better. It takes only three songs before you're listening to something that's nothing like where you started at

Github's SpecKit probably uses a lot of tokens which means it's expensive. It needs to provide a clear advantage when writing code.

Spec driven development like Github's SpecKit is interesting but I'm not convinced it will turn out to be a better way to create code with AI.

I need to refine yesterday's post. Grok-code-fast-1 is good at coding. It's sometimes lazy and needs encouragement to finish its job. Still, it's so much cheaper than Claude 4 Sonnet that it's still my favorite for now. I hope Anthropic creates a cheap fast coder model!

Reports that Nvidia RTX 5090 power connectors are melting makes me think that Nvidia can be disrupted. Maybe not now, but how long will they focus on video game graphics cards?

I feel like the correct metric is what percentage faster AI makes software developers, not what percentage of the code it writes. I guess when that percentage is 100%, the definition of software developer changes.
