When I started watching cricket, I didn't think that there will be a personality whose highs and lows would feel like my own success and failures. Virat Kohli has truly been that. (1/n)
MI won Trophies against the likes of CSK / KKR
CSK won Trophies against the likes of MI / KKR
KKR won Trophies against the likes of CSK / SRH
RCB won Trophies against the likes of GT / PBKS
THERE ARE LEVELS TO THESE GAMES...
@santhoxsh Defending an IPL title is no joke. There's a reason why ONLY two teams have been able to do it in the history of this league.
Not saying it's impossible, but very unlikely. They ain't peak CSK and MI, just lucked out with all their players peaking at the right time.
Last yearโs win had another kind of euphoria. This year didnโt feel even half of that. We broke the curse, kept dominating, and kept believing that we can double it up. And we did!
Of course, firsts are special. Second is too. Doing back-to-back in a 10-team IPL is insane!
Indian cricket has produced many big match players & big match winners but have to say no one comes close to Virat Kohli when it comes to thriving on & absolutely embracing the big moments
This win is not just for the current lot of cricketers and support staff, it should also belong to @CoachHesson. His time at RCB was what actually changed things for us. Took us to back to back playoffs, had a vision for the team. Didnโt win then, but built a culture to win now.
