CJ Stroud at The Annual Global Humanitarian Awards while the CJ Stroud Foundation was being honored gave an impromptu speech about suffering:
He used verses to explain how he believes “suffering is beautiful & is the reason we’re here today”.
Goes on to relate personally about suffering: “of course my last game didn’t go the way I wanted it to. I’m okay with suffering in front of people. Because I know somebody’s going to see how I respond. We all have bad days, but my response needs to be in humility, in joy, gratitude, because my savior was on the cross for me.”
Also mentions: “I’m so grateful to be in Houston, this city has welcomed me with open arms.”

there are various kind of uncles out in the wild, and these are two great examples.
- Allen Iverson is the young uncle, who stays with his ear to the streets, still agile, and is familiar with the slang and technology. Still cuts up on occasion. Blows money soemtimes. Enjoys the hybrid of young life and being an old head.
- Cedric the Entertainer is the seasoned uncle. Grillmaster, money saver, advice giver, bad knee haver, and hat with coordinating shirt extraordinaire. Works, but goes straight home. Only cuts up once a season. Falls asleep after eating too much regardless of location.
