During his speech, Ambassador Matata Twaha, Chargé d'Affaires @MTFMagara, first congratulated President TSHISEKEDI @Presidence_RDC and the #Congolese people on their resilience and courage in the face of persistent challenges.

Regarding the strengthening of ties with the DRC, he highlighted the solid bilateral relationship between the two countries, while noting the progress made in various areas.

@MTFMagara in short, urged both Governments to continue working towards the implementation of the outstanding decisions of the 8th Session of the Joint Main Committee, as he said the next session would be held in #Uganda next year. These included the finalization of draft agreements or memoranda of understanding on immigration, corrections and penitentiary services, the revision of the Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA), the conclusion of a Search and Rescue (SAR) Agreement and the release of prisoners, to name a few.

This year’s celebration was concluded with a toast to the enduring friendship between the two nations and the commitment to continued cooperation.
