@wens404 @DrNeilStone Virus can mutate but ebola is genetically an enveloped virus with a fragile outer lipid membrane. It doesn’t remain stable for long in tiny airborne particles. Ebola mainly infects deep tissues, blood vessels, immune cells, liver, and organs & not the upper respiratory tract

Ebola is unlikely to turn into a pandemic although can be a very significant epidemic. Why? You dont get it unless and until you stick around a symptomatic person with #Ebola and you’ll certainly not do it for fun after being warned. Respect to the frontline Healthworkers though.

Health authorities in Gujarat have isolated a businessman from Congo and three people who came in contact with him after he showed symptoms linked to the Ebola virus. The man, who travelled through Mumbai, Silvassa, Daman and Vadodara before being hospitalised in Ahmedabad, is currently under observation as test reports are awaited. Officials say strict monitoring, isolation protocols and contact tracing measures are in place to prevent any possible spread.
