Akala niyo ba progressive ang Taguig. Mahirap ang Taguig. BGC lang ang mayaman, hidni pa talaga originally Taguig ang BGC, Makati yan talaga, kinulimbat lang ng mga Cayetano. The REST OF TAGUIG, nakalubog parin sa lusak ng kahirapan. Lehitimong tiga Lower Bicutan ako, kaya alam ko na until now, Mahirap na mahirap parin ang lugar namin. Walang Nagbago. Same same. Kaya wala talagang silbi ang pamilyang CAYETANO kundi magpabigat lang sa taong bayan
One our family members traveling abroad got denied at the foreign exchange counter in Oslo, Norway.
Lady at the counter goes — “You came from the Philippines? We cannot exchange your dollars because of the corruption and money laundering in the Philippines.” This family member (along with a group of friends) told me they were asked to exchange their money elsewhere but not at the airport. Family member was just trying to exchange 300 USD.
Terrible. What are we going to do about this, Pilipinas?
I hope Senator Ping will reconsider his decision to resign as Chairman of the Blue Ribbon Committee.
My sense was and is that while there were a number of our colleagues in the Majority bloc who disagreed with some earlier public pronouncements made by him, the matter had been threshed out and clarified by him in a majority caucus held last Wednesday Oct 1. No one in the majority bloc sought his replacement as Blue Ribbon Committee Chairman.
I appeal to Sen Ping to stay on as Blue Ribbon Committee Chairman and appeal as well to our colleagues in the majority bloc to reaffirm our support for him to stay on even as we iron out our differences.
While I appreciate Senator Pings sensitivity to the sentiments expressed by our fellow Senators in the Majority as a reason for his resignation, I am still hopeful that with the renewed support of the Majority bloc he will be convinced to stay on.
Now more than ever, amidst the political crisis facing the nation, our people are looking for stability and certainty in the state of our affairs and looking to the strength of our institutions to withstand the ongoing crisis and resolve it in favor of the truth, transparency and public accountability.
