To expand on my tweet about women wargamers hobbying because they enjoy it (and for no other reason, particularly one involving men's attention) here's a list of things easier than spending hundreds of dollars, and dozens of hours to get men to pay attention to women in a thread:
@BryanCPSteele Always happy to help however I can! I started hustling as a tabletop content creator a decade ago, and am now basically unemployable outside the tabletop industry๐ I'm am willing to provide advice, and any other help I can!
Morning, @DanaherCorp. I notice you haven't responded to calls to stop price-gouging poor countries for TB tests. Just like you didn't respond to open letters from Doctors without Borders.
Perhaps you are hoping the storm will blow over.
Well, you're trending. #PeopleOverProfits
@Olloplays The year is 2023.
A sixteenth Final Fantasy has been released. Three quarters of the playtime (30ish hours) is dialogue cutscenes.
It doesn't pass the Bechdel test.
I would scream, but because it is not to or about a man, it is silenced.
@thiseffingm And here I thought those kind of jerks only commented on how women should smile. Fuck.
Anyways, it delights me to see men smiling and sharing unmitigated, joyful enthusiasm. Especially when gaming with other men!
Fuck societal-imposed male stoicism and toxic masculinity!
@NornQueenKya Who aaud that? I'm deeply curious how anyone can be so divorced from reality.
I've had comments on videos featuring JUST MY HANDS that objectify me sexually.
Idiots gonna internet...
@mattthr It's why I generally consider the opinions of white, millionaire men to generally carry less weight than most others.
They don't normally see the broader picture of whatever they're talking about before shooting from the hip.
@Vee_Muse I know the loss is still fresh, but consider replacing it with an Aeropress. With a metal filter.
Literally the best replacement for a french press in my life and basically indestructible (I've seen tests dropping them from rooftops).
And the cleaning it is 1000x better.
@How2Drink So there's that empathy thought exercise where you're given a red button and if you press it, someone will die but you'll get a thousand dollars.
But it's not a thought exercise for billionaires. It's reality. They're pressing that button perpetually and not stopping.
