@robertskmiles Probably it's: Google laid off a lot of their assistant team a couple years ago when they couldn't figure out how to make money on this stuff. Now that LLMs have caught fire with the public the stuff they could have done a year ago without them makes them seem way behind

@jzb 1) Not a lot. I think this is one of the weaknesses of streaming services over buying CDs. Going to the record store for music used to be a thing to go do. No longer.

2) I think probably a decade or so when I discovered Trip Hop. It's still a big part of my music collection.

@jorenmartijn @geerlingguy @jack @elonmusk It might be that those you are following haven't posted anything since you followed them. Mastadon tends to be a bit quieter than twitter as they don't populate your timeline with junk when there's nothing to show.

@jzb @_Mark_Atwood @joinmastodon On twitter I tend to get overwhelmed with the number of people I can follow, follow a few, then get overwhelmed with too many tweets. Mastodon is slow enough that I don't get overwhelmed unless I try to keep up with the global mastodon which is kinda awful.

@jzb Learned this in relation to flu shots, but it should apply to any. If you tense up while getting the shot the soreness can be worse. Conversely, if you're relaxed when you get it, soreness probably won't be as bad. Though I heard that years ago and maybe it's actually B.S. Hmm...

@jasonhorner I don't do much windows stuff anymore, but I think it would make sense to have a PowerShell folder off of your home directory. So I think it'd be C:\User\<you>\Powershell. Ff it's a server I'd similarly put them in the home directory of whatever user will run them.
