BTS announces they will not submit their music for the 2027 GRAMMY awards, following the Recording Academy’s addition of an Asian-focused category:
“I hope music itself can be heard and loved rather than being distinguished by region or language.”
the woman on the boat represents us. bts are not physically there. it's a metaphor, and their way of telling us that they're accompanying us in the journey of life. through our hardships and our pains, they'll be here. they could spend a lifetime watching us. #SWIM

Myanmar’s military junta closed the country's democratically elected parliament. Now under its ruthless dictatorship the military reopens parliament for the first time in 5 years but controls most of the seats. No one is fooled by this charade. https://t.co/B0dldXguA6

When Guns Crushed Democracy
Five years ago today, the military seized power from the elected NLD, plunging the country into another era of war and chaos.
Dr. @TayzarSan led today's urban protest in Mandalay against the juant sham election as Min Aung Hlaing arrived in Pyi Oo Lwin.
Grateful for Dr. Tayzar San's continued leadership at a time when many of us can no longer join ground strikes.

The #Myanmar junta’s elections will not be free, fair or inclusive.
Our new paper documents the junta's use of extreme violence as an enabler for its polls & dispels the myth that this charade might reopen the limited democratic space of the 2010s.

US Lawmakers Sound Alarm on Junta’s Fake Election
Members of the US Congress warned that the Myanmar junta is racing to hold a sham election with a predetermined result in order to cement authoritarian rule, while a brutal new law threatens years in prison or death for anyone who dares speak out or protest against the polls.
🇲🇲 The junta-appointed election commission announced that the second phase of the regime-organized election will be held on January 11, 2026.
“The Myanmar people don’t believe Min Aung Hlaing’s election will bring democracy back. It’s a tool to legitimize military rule,” said @sengchit, @FortifyRights in an interview with @PPTVNews Thailand.
She added that the junta’s so-called election violates basic freedoms, punishes dissent — even with the death penalty — and excludes millions displaced by war.

We don’t have any rush to discuss with someone who’s repeatedly committed #CrimesAgainstHumanityMyanmar. In politics, dialogues could be a solution. But it’s difficult for us to talk with someone who won’t admit his #HumanRightsViolations yet keeps committing violence.
