Protecting habitats and species across NI, RoI and Scotland in partnership with local agencies and communities . Supported by INTERREG VA. Led by @nmdcouncil.
And our final official tweet of the project is a link to our summary and celebration report, showcasing the wonderful work of all our partners across the three jurisdictions https://t.co/3ZCgV61bbW
CANN has been a brilliant project and there is a tear as I say bye-bye to Twitter
I got muddled on tweeting a thread (duh) so the previous three tweets had no context. These are the series of shorts on YouTube made as part of our wildfire land-management training. The final one is on prescribed burning and can be found here https://t.co/4oP3OkOXt9
@JamesBCarr1 Is your bog an SAC? that might help in attracting projects, any nesting waders likewise. But in the first instance I would contact your county council heritage officer and see what they suggest about upcoming funding streams or existing farm payments that could be used. Good luck
Just got some lovely photos back from our final event on Cuilcaigh, our Stitching the Mountain project inspired by the dams stitching the drains together, with C2C Cuilcaigh to Cleenish, produced some fantastic artwork and inspired the children of Glangevlin and Swanlinbar
@TCorncrake Hi just saw another tweet from you mentioning that monies had been passed from the CANN project to Birdlife Ireland. This is not the case BWI are not CANN partners and we have not worked with this organisation .
Fantastic to see this great example of water table management @abbeyleixbog@ofenton
I wonder how much water was captured by the works and how much flooding was reduced down stream.
Feeling so inspired by the activities on Cuilcagh yesterday, will share artist, Morag Donald's work with weaving soon, but for now, here is some instant poetry: "Hazel; crunchy and enchanting; energised, happy and full; amazing and awesome; king of trees" using this template
