This week is the 20th anniversary of the first draft of the Human Genome Project! Although our research focusses on canine genomes and disease, human genetic research is also crucial to our work. What a milestone the HGP was! π§¬
On June 26, 2000, leaders of the Human Genome Project were invited to the White House for the public announcement of a major milestone -- the successful generation of a draft sequence of the human genome! Weβll be sharing #HGPmemories from those HGP leaders all week!
