The 58 people who lost their lives on October 1, 2017 will always be in our hearts. ๐
We will always be grateful for the first responders who protected our community then and who continue to protect us every single day.
We are, and forever will be, #VegasStrong
We are completely heartbroken to share the unexpected passing of LVMPD Sergeant Justin Williams, who served with courage, dedication, and passion since 2011.
Sgt. Williams was a valued member of our department, and most recently served in our VICE section. Known for his sharp instincts and professionalism, he also brought warmth, kindness, and leadership to every assignment. He was deeply respected and truly beloved by all who knew him.
Sgt. Williams was recently diagnosed with leukemia. He was rushed into emergency surgery this morning and tragically passed away.
Justin was a gifted singer who proudly performed the national anthem at Las Vegas Aces games and represented LVMPD and his community with pride.
He leaves behind his loving mom and extended family. He was just 36 years old ๐๐ค
If you are able to help his family during this unimaginably difficult time, you can do so here: https://t.co/lfpTkQYIi2
