Cute Swimming Story Part 1:
So I went swimming again yesterday. Elementary kids were swimming in the school lanes. As I stopped for breaths, I heard a few of them saying "gaijin iru yo", but carried on and minded my own business for the next 30 mins.
NEW: Whitney Mitchell, Garrett Foster’s fiancée, in a statement: “I felt some sense of justice and relief…The governor has immediately taken that away since he announced there are two legal systems in Texas: One for those with power, like Mr. Perry, and one for everyone else.”
I'm not going to make movies that tell children, "You should despair and run away. I would like to make a film to tell children "it's good to be alive".

@GwenhwyfarMunin @UnseenJapanSite I spent 6 weeks in Japan alone as a non Japanese woman. Felt totally safe. Obviously keep your wits about you and avoid dark alleys like normal but I felt so much safer than walking in my own town in the US.
On this Transgender Day of Visibility, Michelle and I want every trans person in America—and around the world—to know that we see you and we stand with you. Every LGBTQIA+ person deserves to feel safe and protected.
Idk I think the fact that the dude couldn’t buy a semi-automatic and take out an entire phalanx of ppl but had to improvise what Vincent Vega would call “a gd hand cannon” to kill a single guy sort of proves they worked.
Things that did _not_ kill kids today:
- a renaissance sculpture
- a film about Ruby Bridges
- drag queen story time
- the word ‘tampon’
- critical race theory
- woke banks
- saying that Rosa Parks was Black
- gender-affirming care
- ‘The Bluest Eye’
What did:
-an AR-f––ing-15
It’s not the drag queens.
It’s not the pot, not the porn, not the trans kids, not the video games, it’s not the locks on the doors, and it sure as shit ain’t the books about Rosa Parks.
You wanna PROTECT OUR KIDS?
Then do something about the motherfucking guns.

@psypharmacopeia@viviendoama I wish my doctors had done this when I was a teen. My mom would be with me but I never felt comfortable enough to tell them I wanted to speak to them alone bc my mom would get mad about it later. Might've gotten more help for my depression and ED then.
