Every time a child is taught that they have a gender identity in school, they are suffering conversion practices.
Every time a child is groomed to believe that they have a gender identity on social media, they are suffering conversion practices.
Gender identity is an adult construct (Stoller, Money) dressed up as a "kind" response to childhood trauma. No child has a naturally occurring gender identity.
Telling children they have a gender identity is a reprehensible conversion practice disguised as kindness.
Google AI has a good explanation of what “the Church” referred to in the New Testament, and helps frame 1 Corinthians 12:
The Greek word rendered as "Church" in the English New Testament is ἐκκλησία (transliterated as ekklēsia).
Meaning and Origin
•Literal definition: It comes from ek ("out of") and kaleo ("to call").
•Original usage: In ancient Greece, it referred to a public, secular assembly of citizens called out to vote on legislative matters.
•Biblical adoption: The New Testament writers adopted this term to describe the gathering of citizens of God's kingdom.
Key Biblical Applications
•Local congregations: It describes believers meeting in a specific city or home (e.g., the church in Corinth or Philemon's house).
•The global body: It refers to the universal collective of all Christian believers throughout history.
What it is NOT
•A building: The word ekklēsia never refers to a physical structure or place of worship in the Bible.
•An institution: It always highlights the people assembled, rather than an official organizational hierarchy.
You don’t HAVE to. There are many who cannot because of health, etc. But it is clear that it is beneficial for believers to gather. If possible, it should be a goal.
I think Hebrews is pretty clear that we are to be connected with other believers. They couldn’t have imagined FaceTime back then, so they called us to meet with each other, but connecting with other believers is obviously the point here; regardless of method.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV

There is also this about joining in the Lords supper and corporate worship:
“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”
Acts 2:42 ESV

“And all who believed … attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes”
Acts 2:44,46 ESV

Finally, Jesus affirms the power of corporate gathering, stating:
“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.””
Matthew 18:20 ESV

As for all the “requirements” you mentioned; this isn’t normal. I’ve been to MANY different churches (admittedly mostly in MN), and I have not seen this. Most churches would love to have you come and sit with them. Smaller churches might approach you - knowing you’re a visitor - and welcome you.
If you want to talk to church leaders or “care-team” people, just stick around after service. They will be happy to talk with you.
It’s important to reiterate that one can be a Christian without this - especially with the ability to receive teaching “remotely”. Even so, there are benefits to connecting with believers. We were not meant to do this alone.
God bless you!
“In the academic world, diversity means black leftists, white leftists, female leftists, and Hispanic leftists. Demographic diversity conceals ideological conformity.” - Thomas Sowell
Peter Thiel made the same diagnosis in 1996. He watched universities celebrate racial and gender diversity while systematically stamping out diversity of thought.
His point was simple. A campus full of people who look different but think alike is not diverse, it’s just ideological monopoly wearing a costume.
Sowell and Thiel were describing the same phenomenon from different angles. Multiculturalism and “diversity” were never the end goal. They were the instrument. The real objective has always been the capture of institutions, universities, corporations, government, culture, and the enforcement of one narrow worldview.
Demographic checkboxes were the most effective tool available to achieve that.
Once the institutions were staffed and policed by people who already agreed on the fundamentals, dissent became “hate,” disagreement became “harm,” and the old liberal commitment to open inquiry quietly died.
The diversity bureaucracy eventually succeeded at what it was actually designed to do.
So “the next time some academics tell you how important ‘diversity’ is, ask how many Republicans there are in their sociology department.” - Thomas Sowell
@lisavsworld@deathofdating@Jeremyakee My wife and I married in our early 20’s and “struggled together”. It worked for us…
But I must admit that this only works if both people are committed to staying married. “Struggles” can tear a marriage apart - particularly financial ones.
From the linked article:
“The victim was found in the vehicle in a state of panic and was taken to the hospital. An officer observed two open wounds under the right side of the victim’s bottom lip, as well as visible red marks and discoloration on her neck. At the hospital, the victim told police she had traveled with Canini from Illinois to Minnesota.
The victim also reported a history of domestic violence by Canini, including a pattern of strangulation.
The charges were filed Tuesday, June 9. A court date has not yet been set”
Of course capitalism isn't natural, you incomplete set of plastic picnic utensils.
What's natural is theft, robbery, and murder.
What's natural is anarchy, chaos, the rape of the weak by the strong, and nature red in tooth and claw.
The free market, which you call "capitalism", is not called "free" because everyone is free to do whatever they want. Because what a lot of people want to do is steal. You'll know which ones by the hammer and sickle logo they draw on things.
No, the free market is called free because it is freed from coercion and violence.
And of course it was spread by violence, you factory-defective lawn flamingo. Because it was spread by hanging all the bandits and robbers, and if hangings aren't violence I don't know what is.
And of course it's maintained by coercion, you British pub food connoisseur. If you don't coerce thieves not to steal, then they will steal everything you build faster than than you can build it.
You have to use violence to stop the violent, and coerce the coercers not to coerce.
And of course it's maintained by the superficial facade of liberal democracy, you Vogon poetry appreciator. The global average citizen is a mentally retarded third-world savage with less emotional self-control than my cat. If we let them have candidates that truly represented their agenda, then every useful thing humanity has built for the last twelve thousand years would be torn down in a week to buy them more party drugs. Followed by every woman being raped to death, and then uncomprehending starvation as they slowly and painfully learned that grocery stores don't spontaneously spawn food pickups, like in video games.
Jesus Christ, woman, you're talking about a species that evolved to live in hominid tribes of 100 apes, and throw rocks at zebras. In modern civilization, the so-called "average" person is so far out of his depth that the fish have lights on their noses.
And the more complex and sophisticated civilization gets, the more investments in the future that we need to protect, so that the retarded monkeys don't steal them all to buy more vodka and cigarettes.
Yeah, sure, sometimes capitalist systems end up defending property that someone's great-grandfather stole. But so fucking what? You think communism is gonna fix that? You think communism is gonna bring justice?
Communist nations can't afford justice. They can't even manage to feed themselves half the time. Get back to us when you've mastered the agricultural revolution, we've only been waiting since the beginning of recorded time.
The trick is to put the seeds in the dirt, guys.
It's remarkable that socialism is most popular among people who have never experienced it, while people who have experienced it often risk everything to leave it.
One side knows socialism as a slogan. The other knows it as a reality.
Socialism's greatest advantage is that its loudest supporters usually haven't had to live under it.
“because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.””
Romans 10:9-13 ESV
