@RandalRauser That CS Lewis quote is fascinating. As if to say we can't change a path, even if that path is unjust, because it's been too long now. It's like a sunk cost fallacy. Gotta stick with patriarchy, because we always have. Strange.
@RandalRauser Thank you for your good and measured analysis of Gavin Ortlund's video. His laugh was very telling when discussing the execution of responsibilities.
@Bryan_is_Living@TimAAmor Also when Adam sees the other human for the first time and says "flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone" it's more of a sense of "you are like me and I am like you" - we are more the same than different, more the same than we are to these other animals with us
@Bryan_is_Living@TimAAmor I love that God works at solving the human loneliness problem... first with animals, but that doesn't seem sufficient. Then he tries with another human, and that seems to work better. The narrative shows a really personal, engaged relationship.
@RandalRauser I'm using your book to inform my sermon this week! I'm preaching on Joshua and Jericho... it is definitely not an easy text. Thanks for the help.
@The_Sarge11@RandalRauser That is so condescending to say "When you read the whole book you would understand." What about when Jesus said the most important command was to love God and the second most important was to love our neighbour?
@sarahybethy Check out the Canadian ones... they usually don't say Canada in it, but Franklin Graham is not a spokesperson for OCC Canada, which is why I find it a wee bit less objectionable.......
@Mydoghasfleez@RandalRauser 1. she is the first female vice-President and the first woman of colour to be the Democratic nominee.
2. That's incredibly belittling of literally everything she has done throughout her career. She was hired as district attorney before dating Willie Brown
@MikeCosper@PageauJonathan I am not intersex, but have very high levels of testosterone due to having Polycystic ovary syndrome and would probably fail the eligibility criteria. There are many reasons why people might not fit our binary approach to gender and sex.
