American and European enterprises will ditch OpenAI and anthropic and adopt Chinese models. Here’s why:
1. They can host Chinese models under their own GPUs so it’s still compliant and they would argue they have more control.
2. they will post train with their own data on top of Chinese models. That’s how they build data moat.
3. They will not trust anthropic who will retain their data at any time for “safety” concerns like how they did with Fable and then try to build the same thing like how anthropic did with healthcare and legal.
4. They need to justify their AI spend and ROI.
The cure is a reliable America open source model but there is none. After all, if giving away all your data and AI control at the mercy of anthropic and OpenAI means you care about safety and compliance, you are outright stupid.

I think people get confused between “fun” and “satisfying”

I actually do enjoy lifting and I look forward to it. I wouldnt call it “fun”.

But it does bring a deep satisfaction. Thats what I look forward to. And just like you said it makes other things seem less hard and much more manageable and doable

The education system needs to change.

The pace of technology changes too fast and traditional schooling cant keep up.

It makes no sense that we tell young adults to spend 4 years “learning” before they are allowed to actually do the jobs they have been working towards.

Worse yet, the schooling system preselects for good employees rather than entrepreneurs.

Some of the most brilliant entrepreneurs were horrible students, because rather than accept a predetermined path or curriculum they said “fuck this I want to do my own thing” and they are punished for it.

We need a education system that works for the builders, the innovators of our time.

Especially in the age of AI, we need to rethink our over reliance on credentials and create a model that works for the future.

If you know how to use ai, you can literally teach myself how to make it better and apply it and launch and deploy it in the same time as this theoretical junior designer

Don’t get me wrong, a designer would do a better job with unlimited time and resources, but bang for your buck is not beating ai in most cases
