Director removed. Assurances given by Hon’ble Minister Shri @gssjodhpur ji that all demands will be met.
This is the power of resident solidarity. But history will remember: the chair was lost, yet the arrogance remained—not a single word of remorse or apology for Dr. Rajnaresh.
A major victory, but our vigil continues until every promise is enacted on paper and ground.

@ThisIsReckitt@DettolIndia@MoHFW_INDIA@jagograhakjago@DeptConsumerAff Bought from a local retail shop in Puzhavathu, Changanassery, Kerala.
No idea if the chemicals in this would be safe to use. But I still think a lot of people wouldn't scrutinize the packaging so much to determine if it's fake, and would continue using it.
Stay Alert!
Fake Lizol Alert!!
So we bought a Lizol from a local store. As I opened the package, the fragrance was different. Smelled more pleasant like rose water actually. Then on cleaning, I noticed that it did not lather at all. That's when I checked the label and noted a lot of typos.
A kind request to JIPMER, all first semester year post graduate medical students (July 2026 batch) their parents, friend or anyone who has information about them
I need this information on the current first semester batch of PGs. I am being informed still local students are returning to home only after 3 days which is serious matter of concern and few departments are smartly exploiting 12 hours rule by squeezing them for 12 hours giving a short break of 2 hours and again squeeze them for 12 hours .If this is the case , there is no use. Also in the same department every unit has different duty hours which is totally wrong. It means some unit heads are not complying with duty hour norms
1) Does 24 / 36 hour exist?
2) Do JRs get a week off? If so, how many in a month?
3) Do first semester JRs get time to sleep 8 hours and to have three meals comfortably
Departments of interest
1) Anaesthesiology
2) Medicine
3) O& G
4) Orthopedics
5) Pediatrics
6) Surgery
For patient’s safety and a perfect work-life balance every JR must have a sound sleep of 8 hours, all 30 days as like every human being and one day a week off. Total duty hours per week shall not exceed 48 hours. Till this is implemented on field, at we shall continue fight
You may mail me @ [email protected] or reach my insta Id jsdass1978
In TV shows like House or Good doctor, every patient is a walking puzzle, every day is an intellectual challenge and genius triumphs everytime.
Reality is er.. complicated.
Anyway such grand myths are essential for society - to inspire more and more students to medicine.
If they actually took such a series in a government medical college or hospital in India ( or even the US), I wonder how many students would actually join medicine.
Irresponsible & Unprofessional response from JIPMER Radio Diagnosis department
JIPMER Radiodiagnosis department doesn’t have any information on week offs and actual duty hours of junior residents.
HoDS & consultants expect 100% perfection from junior residents that work 36 hours twice or thrice a week with no week off for the first 180 days. Even if he / she commits a small mistake or fail to submit thesis protocol within 4 months deadline hell will broke
But what about the HoDs & Dean that fails to maintain crucial data on duty hours & week off of junior residents?
NMC , MoH&FW & National Human rights commission must look into this seriously as quitting rate of JIPMER is too high
Why is the record not maintained on week off & actual duty hours? To hide 36 hrs-72 hrs illegal & inhumane duty and denial of a week off for the first 180 days?
Will NMC punish department heads & Dean for derelictions of duty & non-compliance of government norms?
It is high time NMC to screw up the violators of residency scheme 1992 guidelines to save young resident doctors from suicide & quitting
NMC must demand actual duty hours & week off data & duty hours compliance report every month
It is very unfortunate that an Indian Ministry has to resort to cheap abuse tactics, threats and harassment, instead of proving me wrong.
The Government, through the National Commission for Homeopathy HAS THREATENED ME WITH CIVIL AND CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS if I do not apologize for calling out Homeopathy as quackery/ fraud and delete my content on Homeopathy.
This is also the SAME Government who taxes me and other citizens like me, to FUND HOMEOPATHY and pay salary of these people in Homeopathy Public Institutes who have written this atrocious letter to me.
Dear @ForHomeopathy@moayush@secymoayush
Please find your conditions and my responses below, in public:
National Council for Homeopathy says: Therefore, for the first and last time, you are hereby called upon to:
i. Remove/Delete all the content uploaded by you on every Social Media Platforms which criticizes the Homeopathy Medicine or any other alternative medicine
My response: No I will not. My content are factual and science based. It follows Article 51A(h) of the Indian Constitution which outlines one of the Fundamental Duties for every citizen - "to develop the scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform." In this regard, my content is based on my Constitutional Rights and against an pseudoscientific and unscientific practice like Homeopathy and is fully backed by evidence and facts. If you can prove all of those evidences wrong, I will remove all of my content on Homeopathy.
Homeopathy has been called many things before and I have only borrowed what has been highlighted in public domain and medical literature. Some of the sources for my online content is given below for your reference:
Homeopathy is pseudoscience: https://t.co/KKF1UZqrmu
Homeopathy is fraud and quackery: https://t.co/ehx1a7CsC9
Homeopathy is unscientific: https://t.co/dcrUlnqkFf
Homeopathy is witchcraft: https://t.co/rYbblwI5pC and https://t.co/8j53wwXIkv
If you can remove these sources, I will remove my content.
ii. Stop making, circulating or disseminating any further derogatory, defamatory remarks in future against Homeopathy and its practitioners
My Response: I cannot guarantee this. As doctors and scientists, it is our right to correct healthcare misinformation. Any further publicizing of unverified claims from the Homeopathy community - whether the Ministry, the practitioners or the industry, will be dealt with strong and aggressive corrective measures from the scientific community including me. For me to stop doing this, Homeopathy practitioners must stop claiming benefits of therapy and stop making misleading content online. Homeopathy community must keep quite and disappear to a corner, and then the scientific community will keep quite and let you be invisible in that corner. Homeopathy graduates on Instagram and Facebook keep creating content that they can cure cancer, treat chronic skin disorders, mental health conditions, diabetes and thyroid diseases and autoimmune conditions. First, ask them to stop that - then come to lecture me.
iii. Issue a public apology and clarification, through the same platforms on which the offending posts were uploaded, acknowledging deep regret for the use of defamatory expressions
My Response: First, The National Commission for Homeopathy and the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, Ministry of AYUSH, New Delhi, India MUST issue a issue a public apology and clarification, through all social media platforms , acknowledging deep regret for wasting public money on a fraudulent Homeopathy study which was RETRACTED for scientific fraud. See here: https://t.co/oDTf9JE58B and here https://t.co/bkgffy9VA9. Once your apology is in place, then I may consider an apology, after you prove me wrong, like I proved the scientific fraud in your retracted Homeopathy paper. It was a national disgrace.
iv. Furnish a written undertaking that you shall refrain from repeating such acts in future.
My Response: I am sorry, I wont be able to do that - because as a clinical doctor and medical scientist and medical teacher in India, as long as Article 51A(h) of the Indian Constitution is alive, I will repeat my education on unscientific practices for the benefit of the public.
This is my first and last time, calling upon the National Commission for Homeopathy and the Homeopathy community:
i. Refrain from sending me these hollow threats, first prove me wrong on all my points raised in my contents online (example: why is cockroach used to treat asthma - what is the pathogenetic basis and pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of it)
ii. Prove to the public that Homeopathy is not a pseudoscience or quackery by removing the original sources I have used to describe Homeopathy (links above) and all such sources which I will use in the future.
iii. Apologize to the Indian public PUBLICLY for wasting public funds that are used to publish scientific fraud
iv. PROVIDE A RESPONSE TO OUR PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION IN THE SUPREME COURT'S ORDER TO YOU - https://t.co/9Q4XYG7JrM - about why Homeopathy was used on population level scale that led to harm to public, wasting public money.
v: Send me an apology letter for wasting my time which could have been used to diagnose and treat patients at my place of work.
Do not try to gag voices that improve scientific temperament in this country, because you are anyway not doing anything to promote science in India.
@CaulfieldTim@EdzardErnst@TheSkepticMag@McGillOSS@RichardDawkins
- Funny that you mention science while making the most unscientific arguments.
- Funny that you mention misinformation campaign, while your own post is a live example of it.
- Funny that a lot of studies are cited, but reports and data are never released.
Now let me address those bullet points, which are nothing but a proud display of ignorance and blindly gulping down govt chooran.
1. No significant engine damage - First you should define "significant". Anyway that might not be the part of IT cell script. Ethanol absorbs water from the air (hygroscopic) and degrades rubber fuel lines. In older/non-E20 engines, phase separation causes tank rust, clogged injectors, and fuel line cracks. Ethanol is a solvent - over 80% of our engines weren't built for it.
2. Fuel efficiency impact is under 5% - That can't even hold true in theory, forget about real life. Ethanol has ~33% less energy density than petrol. E20 delivers 6-7% less energy per liter, that too in compliant engines in standard test conditions. Non compliant engines are hit even worse. Basic thermodynamics.
3. Cleaner air, lower imports: Cleaner air is true only for compliant engines. Engines not built for e20 cannot combust ethanol properly resulting in carcinogenic aldehyde emissions. Also, does your environment impact begin and end with the tailpipe? Production of ethanol is a water guzzling, high emission process, the factories and nearby areas are classified as red zones.
- Those who are peddling pro ethanol chooran without understanding vehicle compatibility, fleet readiness, environmental impact, cost to consumer owe an apology to the common people.

CME INDIA Clinical Pearls
India Gets Its First Approved Dengue Vaccine: QDENGA (TAK-003)
🔹 Historic milestone: On 20 July 2026, the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) approved QDENGA (TAK-003), making it the first dengue vaccine approved in India.
🔹 Vaccine type: A live attenuated tetravalent dengue vaccine providing protection against all four dengue virus serotypes (DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3, and DENV-4).
🔹 Approved age group (India): 4–60 years.
🔹 Dose schedule: Two subcutaneous doses, administered 3 months apart.
🔹 No pre-vaccination testing required: QDENGA can be administered irrespective of previous dengue infection, eliminating the need for serological screening before vaccination.
🔹 Clinical efficacy: The vaccine reduces symptomatic dengue and provides robust protection against dengue-related hospitalization and severe dengue, its greatest clinical benefit.
🔹 Safety profile: Common adverse effects include injection-site pain, headache, myalgia, and mild fever. Most reactions are mild and self-limiting.
🔹 Precautions: Being a live attenuated vaccine, QDENGA is generally contraindicated in individuals with significant immunosuppression and is not routinely recommended during pregnancy unless future national recommendations advise otherwise.
🔹 Availability: Commercial rollout in India is expected after supply and distribution arrangements. Takeda has partnered with Biological E to expand manufacturing capacity for India and global markets.
CME INDIA Take-Home Message
QDENGA represents a major advance in dengue prevention in India by offering broad serotype coverage, a simple two-dose schedule, and vaccination without prior dengue testing. Its greatest public health impact is expected through reduction in severe dengue and dengue-related hospitalization.

The problem with Textbooks in medicine is that they try to be all comprehensive, all informative
and teachers expect the students to know everything all at once
Yet, in exams, they fail to deliver because in the quest for this plethora of knowledge, the basic concept itself is unknown to them
The first lecture is all.. welcome to medicine you are about to be amazed for the rest for the rest of your life
Second lecture is, this is a bone, it is cortical, cancellous...
Third lecture is the deletion of that chromosome 1p2qy9 on chromosome 13 causes the metabolism of tryptophan to decline because of the depletion of ATP at Step 6 of the XYZ pathway during starvation states
And funny thing is, it is that very thing that is asked as an MCQ in NEET OG
NEET PG is not an assessment of how good a doctor you are, but how much information you can horde
Medical education is in tatters.
A revolution is necessary.

540 hours. In a single month.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The RTI response from the Department of Pediatrics, AIIMS Nagpur shows Junior Residents being assigned 540 duty hours per month.
That’s 18 hours every single day, across an entire month.
How can anyone expect safe, error-free patient care from doctors pushed to this extent? Sleep deprivation isn’t dedication—it’s a patient safety risk and a human rights issue.
Healthcare cannot run on the exploitation of young doctors.
AIIMS Nagpur, Department of Pediatrics must explain how such duty hours are justified.

Imagine being a cardiologist. A rowdy politician walks in with an Oscar level performance of "check pain". Even the ECG machine is annoyed. But you have to put up a serious face instead of letting the smirk slip out. 😏
Tough life man.
Why are all doctors becoming influencers ?
Because influencers are earning 5 times that of Educator
10 times of what a speciality doctor earns !
Now this is something not to be celebrated but a question to ponder over !
