One line from Rich Dad Poor Dad has stuck with me ever since I read it:
“The single most powerful asset we all have is our mind. If it is trained well, it can create enormous wealth.”
@ruffydfire Good concern on cost. But 20k officers per state flat = 720k+ total (double current entire NPF of ~372k). Not realistic.
State police = transfer 60% existing officers + phased new recruits (IGP committee).
Population-based (Dataphyte report):
- Lagos/Kano: 19k each
- Mid state: 8-11k
- Small state: 4-6k
₦90k/mo reasonable avg.
Insecurity ransoms alone >₦2T/yr.
@ruffydfire I do not think there is any pressure, after all allocation going to each state has tripled, allocation isn't meant for constructions, salaries, and any other state project they might have been doing, the security of a state is equally important if not the most important.
This thing can be easily resolved, the current federal police should be dissolved, and the budget assigned to the states. All current officers of the federal police reassigned to their states of origin and under the command of the new commissioners of police appointed by the governors. This will reduce the startup cost for the states. The FG can then focus on increasing the personnel count and infrastructure of the DSS across the country to serve as its own primary intelligence and law enforcement agency, just like the FBI. There is no need for a federal police.
This beautiful statue in Almaty honors the strangers who linked together in 2016 to save a dog’s life a powerful tribute to real compassion and human unity. ❤️
Maradona spoke of Ronaldinho as one of the greatest players he had ever seen, with a style of play that brought a unique infectious joy to football. A true artist on the pitch.
Ahora tenemos delante a niños arrogantes... Pero ¿qué han conseguido ellos? Nada. La única razón por la que creemos que podemos ganar una Copa del Mundo es él. Él es la inspiración de todos."

Fola Adeola, co-founder of GT Bank, explains how regulators like CBN stifle the banking business.
He says that former CBN governors Joseph Sanusi and Paul Ogwuma would engage and deliberate with industry heads before releasing any regulation.
He encourages CBN to continue to do the same.
🇸🇦🗣️ Khaled Al Malik (Al Nassr Vice President):
"I don't think the words of a minor player affect Cristiano Ronaldo, the man who changed the history of Portugal and football.
What's truly sad is that a generation of Portuguese players has emerged that doesn't appreciate its legends.
The ones who should be angry are Portugal, history and all of football.
You'll only realise his worth when he retires. And you'll wait a very long time for someone to replace him, just as we in Saudi Arabia are still waiting for someone to replace Majed Abdullah and that hasn't happened yet.
Legends aren't easily replaced."
