@RanTeeThree If this continues, a civil war will be inevitable. For the authoritarian government watching - this is not an incitement to violence, but a prediction based on what tends to happen when governments undemocratically attempt native population replacement.
@SportsCenter Hilarious that so many people in the comments don't get the joke because they've grown up on Disney slop instead of movies with an actual script
@Random02838392@DPhlptt3300@lancelachlan@PolitlcsUK 'Let's assume you are correct' - do you know what 'assume' means?
But yeah, not interested in debating with people who seem to only care about being right or wrong vs having good faith dialogue about important matters that affect all of us. Have a good day.
@Random02838392@DPhlptt3300@lancelachlan@PolitlcsUK I see. So you fail to understand that people can have a principled argument whether they are affected or not, or that millions of people have already been affected by Labour tax policies, so are obviously concerned about new ones they bring out (that weren't on their manifesto).
@plebhere@Random02838392@lancelachlan@PolitlcsUK Well, I experienced Blair's Labour government as well and, while I'm definitely not a fan of the Tories, every Labour government has been worse than any other for taxing/spending/borrowing. This current government the worst for authoritarianism as well.
@plebhere@Random02838392@lancelachlan@PolitlcsUK Exactly, this is just another one of their incremental steps to tax the death out of working people. It starts with interest on ISAs, next will be capital gains tax increases, the list goes on and on because Labour can never spend within their means.
@Random02838392@lancelachlan@PolitlcsUK Part of my investment is in Plum's stocks and shares ISA, so it may be affected. I'm just going off a short headline so will obviously need to look more into it.
Either way, the government taxing already taxed money is immoral in my book.
@_darjeeling__@lancelachlan@PolitlcsUK Before you make an attempt and make yourself look silly, I'd suggest you do a bit of homework on the rise of inflation/living costs over the last few years.
@Random02838392@lancelachlan@PolitlcsUK Because investing in stocks and crypto is always a risk. I have a base amount in ISA earning interest (around 60%) and invest the rest in stocks and crypto. So if things go tits up, at least I will have a solid base amount (that will have been earning interest).
