Left-field one… Geelong coach Chris Scott has been appointed Chief of Leadership & Performance at Morris Finance - a key Cats sponsor
@7NewsMelbourne@7AFL
@ScooterMcNeice Stringer, Davey, Wanganeen, Hunter and Baldwin. All talented players who struggled with fitness or durability. Tough calls but isn’t this what we have been crying out for? I’m intrigued to see where this is heading.
"I'd be flat if I was an Essendon supporter..."
Essendon has announced their three-year plan focused on the draft ... do their fans have every right to be frustrated about that messaging?

@ScooterMcNeice Kane Cornes: Essendon needs to stop allowing players run the show.
Also Kane Cornes: They need to make decisions for Zach Merrett’s sake.
@ScooterMcNeice This is very encouraging. Acknowledgment of the need to rebuild, a plan and a timeline. When’s the last time we had this as a fan base?
@ScooterMcNeice The only explanation for these moves would be that we are trading a ruckman and a key position player. There is no other reason for Goldstein and Weidemann to be at the club another year.
Dave Barham will seek re-election as Essendon president this year after implementing significant change over past two years.
He's at the end of a three-year term on the board, having joined in '15. Vice-president Andrew Welsh seen as the natural successor.https://t.co/er4l10r1Sr
@EthNick_ Here are some of the scores kicked against Hird’s ‘sorted’ defence in his first two years:
146
153
166
134
149
133
134
180!
156
This with players like Fletcher, Hurley and Hooker on the books. Let’s stop rewriting history.
@Bombers_Boss Completely agree on moving Merrett to half back. Martin, Duursma and Saad on the wings and Durham and Perkins swapping between half forward and midfield.
@jomagoo68 Come on. James Hird?? He was 5-14 in his last season as coach and hasn’t coached a minute in 10 years. Let’s stop looking for a saviour and do the hard yards to become a good club.
The performance is bad enough. But what’s most frustrating is that we know there will be no repercussions for the repeat offenders. This group of players has already ended two coaches and they are well on the way to a third. Scott needs to make wholesale changes next week.
