Look at this tweet below, this smartass is painting UBTH as a deathtrap and painting all the doctors in the facility as nonchalant.
Funny thing is that UBTH is one of the most equipped hospital in that region but suffering from the same manpower shortage ravaging the nation.
Manpower shortage that can be solved in a single week with a single reform.
The smartass would never think for once to ask, 'why are patients not being attended to promptly?'
She's too wise for that and has jumped to the conclusion that Nigerian doctors are all nonchalant.
After all, we doctors that are left are the scums of medical school.
The smartass doesn't know the emergency often have a single doctor attending to 5-10 beds at once.
The same facility has many doctors taking multiple calls, often for weeks at a time just to keep departments afloat.
This smartass doesn't know that the reason why there's no doctor to attend to people is because doctors are resigning everyday because of poor pay, frustrating system and hectic workload.
She would never blame the stupid government who have full responsibility of the calamity.
It's always the footsoldiers sweating day and night to keep the system afloat that gets the blame.
We all know what we're doing.
As I've always said, if you like keep going above and beyond your job descriptions for your ungrateful patients.
