I am so utterly relieved that the Ukraine Aid Bill has passed. It did appear for a while that we were all too capable of allowing our deepest values to fall away.

@WagnerMetal Herbie (via his fans in the press) did love to put himself out there as the fusion of Furtwangler and Toscanini. If not vilified, his reputation in Anglo-Saxon areas at least fell from the 80s (beauty over substance), but he seems to be making a critical comeback now.
