If you analyze the franchise critically instead of pure enjoyment, I can see why it’s not “good” in a technical filmmaking sense. But there are movies that care more about enjoyment than artistic creativity.

The 2.5 “guideline” is supposed to be the total of prod and market budget. If prod is $225 and market is $125 then it didn’t NEED to 2x or even 2.5x. It’s not mandatory

We typically don’t know the marketing budget of a movie and tax credits applied. Some random Hollywood insider used 2.5x and now ppl think it’s mandatory.

Drake stans can only talk about his finances (that may or may not be true) because actually talking about the artistic QUALITY of Drake's discography for the past 10 years isn't defendable.

Apparently sources are saying Drake received over 2 billion private equity after becoming a free agent. After he released 3 albums in one night Drake fulfilled his UMG obligations. See Drake has been having issues with his record label and Drake has sued them over defamation. So releasing 3 albums fulfilled his obligations with them. He recently received a 2 billion offer from a private equity firm that would allow him retain all ownership of his music. If this deal happens he will be the richest musician in history.
