🚀 This year, the Wise Lab has been diving deep into the world of RNA—nature's messenger! 📜💡 RNA may carry instructions from DNA, but it can also do so much more! Curious about "the messenger"? Here's the scoop: 🧬👇 #RNABiology#ScienceTalk#WISELab#thisissalve
The Wise Lab summer research program was highlighted in Salve Today. Check out the article "Summer research at Salve advances work in biomedical science and biodiversity" https://t.co/ekFHYWNzzR
🔍 The study underscores the importance of early and stable genetic alterations in guiding treatment strategies. As we uncover more about FL’s genomic landscape, we move closer to better prognostic tools and therapeutic options. #CancerTreatment#Genomics
🧩 Gains in chromosomes 12, 18 (TCF4), and loss in 6q were identified as stable copy number alterations, with a newly developed tool for screening longitudinal biopsies. These early events could be key for future diagnostic and monitoring strategies. #LymphomaResearch
On Friday, July 26th, team members Sofia, Kenia, and Matt presented their posters on their summer research projects at the University of Rhode Island Undergraduate Research Symposium. Thank you so much to the IronMatt foundation for helping to fund our summer research program!
Our paper explores different machine learning approaches to investigate the potential of microRNAs as biomarkers to detect the tissue of origin for CUP. We are excited to share that our paper has been published in the Journal of Medical Internet Research!
We had the opportunity to attend the two day Festival of Genomics in Boston this past week. We learned so much about single-cell RNA sequencing, as well as insights on new genomic treatments for cancer, and AI innovation for rare diseases!
Welcome to the Wise Lab! We are a computational genomics lab run by Dr. Jillian Wise. We have many exciting projects coming this summer, so stay tuned!
