With the new term imminent it is time to say farewell. After many wonderful years at The Abbey, where I learnt so many new skills, including tweeting for @abbey_hist! I am retiring. Thanks to the whole History community for the amazing work you all do. Rosanna @theabbeyschool
@msunderyhistory Get both the Pearson and the Holder text books and revision books. They offer slightly different materials and practice as which is helpful.
Lots of important decisions being made.. Victorian or Tudor? 1480s or 1980s? The Abbey School is getting excited about our whole school historical dress up day on Friday 18th June in honour of 900 years of Reading Abbey.

Very interesting to note the parallels between Reading in the Spanish flu epidemic 1918 and our experiences today. @theabbeyschool https://t.co/pu9sYR7r9n
Have you met Edward, Harold and William yet?
The virtual video tour of the Bayeux Tapestry from @readingmuseum brings these figures -and the famed facsimile - to life. And you've only got a week or so left to stream it!

@PearsonEdexcel How dare you call these 'new' and 'additional'. You have simply copied questions from earlier years which all students already have access to, apart from October 2020 you have them open on your website. To add insult to injury your Luther question has Dutch revolt sources.
Just about everything you could possibly want to know, for those of you pondering about St Patrick today.

In honour of Mothers Day we give you Queen Eleanor. Mother of two with Louis VII of France and 7 with Henry II of England. Her maternal devotion was so great she joined her son's wars v their father. Taking mother's love a bit too far? Happy mother's day. @theabbeyschool
