@GeorgeMcElhinn2 @matt19015436 @GravelInstitute Bro, no. The fact that bitcoin is legal tender proves it isn't a scam. A Ponzi scheme by definition has no underlying value. Bitcoin does have an underlying value (a way to transfer and store value aka money).
@0xdemosthenes@business You have no idea how wrong you are lol. The first cryptocurrency was created as a response to failing monetary policy and problematic modern financial system.
@peace24265864 @ReadMnWeepBucko @zhusu If evolution was a designed process, why did "the creator" design 99.9% of species to go extinct (this is the real estimate by the way)? Also why would the creator also give individual humans damaging mutations like cystic fibrosis? It doesn't add up.
@peace24265864 @ReadMnWeepBucko @zhusu Evolution is a messy process. Most mutations are harmful. Even if a helpful mutation shows up and then becomes prevalent within a species, the species can still be wiped out due to arbitrary changes in the environment. There were like 1-2 dozen species of humans that all died
@peace24265864 @ReadMnWeepBucko @zhusu Evolution was a messy process. There were multiple human species that died along the way. There are people today with mutations that severely damage their ability to live normal lives. If there was an omnipotent being that directed evolution, it did a really crappy job
@Tav_assoli @Snowden It's important not to generalize. Only proof of work chains with substantial usage require that much energy. Even then, the energy that bitcoin uses is negligible compared to the finance sector and increasing trending towards cheap, renewable energy.
@ChrisBlec@travatr0n Letting a mostly preventable virus kill more people because of fReEdOm! You really are a true patriot! You mentioned toxins so why don't you back that with evidence. Otherwise, you can admit you're only anti-vax cause of your dogmatic beliefs and not bc of any medical concern
@ChrisBlec@travatr0n 1. I'm American 2. Thanks for proving my point about how individuals shouldn't be trusted to make their own decisions. Point me to any study or piece of evidence that the levels of toxins found in vaccines are significant enough to cause any damage to us.
@travatr0n@ChrisBlec Usually, itβs not a problem. But when thereβs a public health crisis where lives are on the line and the scientific consensus clearly points in one direction, I couldnβt care that pretentious, pea-brained idiots think they know better than the entire global academic body.
@travatr0n@ChrisBlec I get that. I donβt think we should hv blind trust in our institutions, but for these weird hardcore individualists, they put the cart before the horse. They donβt want the vaccine merely because govs are pushing for it.
@ChrisBlec@travatr0n You'd be surprised... I watched a video of a dad (with kids in his home) who was hospitalized because of covid who was asked if he regretted not taking the vaccine and he said no. People in general are pretty dumb, I don't think they should be trusted to make their own decisions.
