I’m 42.
18 mos. ago I was figuring out who I wanted to be when I grew up (again).
Then I found @thedankoe, a 26 yo w/ incredible depth who teaches about digital economics.
Here are 6 things he shared that put me on a new path (that I thought was only for "the kids"):
Your money is an expression of what you value.
If you haven't already switched to @claudeai because it's better, then switch because the company has a soul.
@AnthropicAI Your steadfastness in this almost brings me to tears. There has never been more on the line and you chose to defend humanity itself.
I hope your success multiplies exponentially and I’m here voting for that and for you with my dollars.
You don't have to have arrived to begin.
The gap between knowing and embodying isn't a disqualifier.
It's your credibility.
You're sharing from the climb - and that's exactly where the people you want to help are standing.

Problem: AI‑generated sewing patterns are flooding forums—cheap, inaccurate, and leaving frustrated sewists behind.
Creator: My fiancé sells digital patterns on Etsy the right way—human craft, precision, and care.
Hypothesis: A “human‑only” sewing pattern platform can restore trust and quality while providing a dedicated place for patterns (Etsy has SO many other things going on)
Plan: We ran “human‑only sewing pattern platform” through @ideabrowser. It surfaced structure for build, pricing, and go‑to‑market.
Pre-Validation: She posted in forums and stories, compiled an opt‑in list of interested sewists, and we’re now building and testing the platform.
Why her: Passion + problem visibility + industry knowledge + audience. The right founder for this solution.
We think the demo is looking good so far?
Stay tuned!

The lightning bolt hit during a livestream with Greg Isenberg today.
I've struggled with what "my thing" is that I want to write about.
What would even matter to anyone else - and matter enough to me to throw myself onto the internet?
I already help those around me bring their ideas to life. I get 10x more joy helping them than working on 'my own things.'
But you know what? Helping others bring their gifts to life IS MY THING.
I'm launching an idea-to-reality agency using Greg & Jordan's @ideabrowser as a core platform - helping people clarify their gifts, validate their concepts, and build their offerings.
Full-service execution for a fee.
I already have two projects in motion from the last month. Excited to share more!
@gregisenberg I actually made something for you the other day that tries to measure compounding businesses (the ACP or "Sauce" effect) for @latecheckoutplz. Would love to know if it's actually valuable for you. https://t.co/sSL8S1qK1a
The first time Congress tried to pay themselves a salary for their "public service," several of them were hanged by their constituents. 😬
The audacity and outrage that one would get any sort of personal gain from such a sacred stewardship was so morally reprehensible that two-thirds of Congress were voted out in the next election.
From 1789 to 1825, members of Congress were paid just $6/day for their participation, reflecting the expectation that their service was just that… service, not a career.
Being forced to maintain other means of sustenance in the communities they represented, forced them to stay in touch with local economics, issues, and the people themselves.
For much of the 19th century, Congress roomed together in boarding houses where they engaged in heated political debates over "tough meat, bland cake, and dry toast." Despite the bad food, they shared intentionally unifying experiences that created bonds and forged policy.
Fast forward to 1995, when Newt Gingrich reduced the House workweek from 5 days to 3 days, ostensibly to allow more time for fundraising.
For those that have been around long enough, you might instinctually feel like this was around the time things felt like they started to shift in American politics.
I don't have to tell you what's happened since then.
We've come a long way from…
-Concerned citizens who sacrificed time with their families and livelihoods, to travel to DC by horse one to two times a year
-It being considered punishable by death to take the peoples' money to pay yourself
-Sitting down together around a table in a military-style mess hall over bland cake to sort out resources and the affairs of the country
-Politics = "public service"
This is not advocacy for "the good old days."
But in this exact moment, it's an interesting exercise to review where we started as the nation that set out to be independent and free from a ruling elite. The nation that proclaims to have a government "by the people, and for the people."
How much of this is by us, and for us?
We have 535 "representatives" that:
-come into "public service" as middle class people and leave multi millionaires
-have now made politics synonymous with corruption and greed
-spend half their time raising money - for themselves
-get paid whether they do their job or not
-simply take, and don't produce
Sometimes it feels impossible to unwind this mess. But remembering that it wasn't always like this, and doesn't have to be like this, gives me a little hope.

Anyone know of/working on anything really cool and helpful in this space?
Desperate for some good options to help my little guy read. 🙏
