I met a 22-year-old named Hassan at the Peak 21 Summit last week.
His story is exceptional:
โข Born in Afghanistan
โข Parents divorced; stepped up to support his mom and baby brother
โข Taught himself performance marketing
โข Partnered with a crypto lawyer to scale his ads
โข Made a $1M in profits
โข Bought his mom a car and retired her
โข Flew in on a week notice after last-minute admission โ straight from a family vacation in Europe
Iโm looking for 10 driven young founders like Hassan to fund and incubate new projects with.
Apply via the Google Form [link in comments].
We want to fund you and build with you.
Thank you @POTUS for your leadership on promoting access to Hemp-derived CBD.
I agree Congress must deliver on important reforms, and after years of working on this issue, my HEMP Act is one potential solution to address this important policy.

In December, I signed a very important Executive Order calling for Research and Innovation for Hemp-derived CBD โ Something that has made a HUGE difference for so many people. In fact, ONE in FIVE adults used it in the past year, and many say it improved their chronic pain enormously. Our wonderful Dr. Mehmet Oz moved fast to follow the directive in the Executive Order, and launched a model for some Seniors earlier this month. But more must be done! I am calling on Congress to update the Law to ensure that Americans can continue to access the full-spectrum CBD products they have come to rely on, and that help them, while preserving Congress's intent to restrict the sale of products that pose Health risks. We must get this done RIGHT and FAST, especially for those who saw that CBD helps them. Plus, I am told it will also help our GREAT FARMERS, who we love, and will always be there for. Please get it done, and SOON. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP
@jimhigdon@myhempreviews Yeah my company is in the US hemp roundtable and we donโt even sell beverages
The USHR is advocating for politically reasonable THC limits. The options are that or the death of the whole industry (which might happen anyway)
There is a safe and legitimate side to the hemp industry
Synthetics line THCp, d8 etc need to be taken off shelves - undoubtedly
But this prohibition bans all full spectrum CBD and safe, low-dose THC products. It effectively wipes out the entire industry
The hemp industry is a rural success story. Itโs built on Main Street- farmers, scientists, production workers, retail. Itโs one of the industries whose promise is not reserved for tech/AI elites
Hemp deserves a fighting chance in an open debate. Better regulation is necessary, but this prohibition is recklessly destructive
The livelihoods of thousands of farmers and hundreds of thousands of honest hard working professionals are at stake
ITโS NOT OVER!! ๐จ We have 365 days to regulate, NOT ban.
We are set out on a 365-day mission with our eyes set on regulation โ thanks to the dedication from @SenRandPaul!
Check back in for updates on how you can stay involved and help #SaveHemp!
@KobeissiLetter 300,000+ jobs killed in the hemp prohibition
Thousands of small farmers devastated
A $28B wiped overnight in a knee jerk overreaction
Regulation is needed. Prohibition helps no one
HEMP PROHIBITION FOR BEGINNERS ๐๐ฑ
On November 10th, 2025 - @SenMcConnell sneakily inserted language into the appropriations bill (the one that ended the record-long government shutdown) that will ban hemp-derived products nationwide, effective November 2026.
McConnell's prohibition will devastate the entire $28B hemp market - including CBD and safe, low-dose THC products that the industry is built on. It's a knee-jerk overreaction to a few bad actors (synthetics, gas station products, etc).
The hemp industry does need better regulation to eliminate these bad actors, but prohibition is beyond reckless.
McConnell bypassed honest debate by quietly slipping his prohibition into a must-pass spending bill. The consequences of this carelessness are catastrophic to a young, promising American industry.
WHY THE EVERYDAY AMERICAN SHOULD CARE ๐บ๐ธ๐จโ๐พ
The U.S. hemp industry is a rare rural success story: a multi-billion dollar sector built on Main Street America - not in elite tech/AI hubs. It has created over 300,000 jobs for farmers, manufacturers, scientists, and retail workers - spread across small towns nationwide. This growth is driven by consumer demand for CBD and low-dose THC products, giving small farmers and businesses a real shot at success in a booming market.
I co-founded BATCH, one of these businesses. We employ 25 proud Wisconsinites and sustain dozens more American jobs through direct partnerships with farmers, suppliers, and others. Our business will be wiped out by McConnellโs prohibition, along with over 90% of the hemp industry.
Equally vital: millions of Americans will lose access to the CBD and low-dose THC products they've come to trust for everyday wellnessโbetter sleep, stress relief, and natural recovery.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT & HOW YOU CAN HELP๐
For over a year, weโve been fighting alongside industry leaders & sensible lawmakers for smart, science-backed rules that keep consumers safe and keep hemp accessible.
Necessary regulation will need to include third-party lab testing, clear labeling, age verification, and potency caps.
Our fight will continue despite this setback. The good news is that we have until November, 2026 to align with lawmakers on safe, sensible regulations for our industry.
The media and politicians are starting to pay attention to this important issue. @SenRandPaul has been a champion of the hemp industry, and bipartisan support from Senators @SenTedCruz and @SenJeffMerkley has begun to surface
All we ask is your awareness of this issue. It would be greatly appreciated, but not expected, for you to make your voice heard. In the near future, we'll let you know how to voice your concern to your congressmen
Statistics often feel distant and easy to ignoreโuntil you're the one they describe. Right now, that's us: over 300,000 Main Street jobs hang in the balance, along with consumers' access to safe, reliable products from honest stakeholders in the hemp industry.
I agree with @RandPaul.
This provision SNUCK INTO the Senate's funding bill by Mitch McConnell reeks.
Hemp is a legal crop. Farmers grow it for rope, textiles, paper, building materials. Veterans and people with chronic pain use CBD products made from it.
This last-minute ban would destroy a $28 billion industry, wipe out 95% of hemp businesses, and eliminate 300,000 American jobs. It would devastate rural farming communities across the country.
If there are problems with bad products in gas stations, then regulate those. Don't obliterate an entire legal industry.
Pete "Reefer Madness" Ricketts said legalizing marijuana would "kill your kids" and tried to overturn 70% of Nebraska voters on medical cannabis. No doubt he supports this too.
Government shouldn't destroy legal industries and hundreds of thousands of jobs.
This is government overreach.
This short sighted bill will kill 95% of the hemp industry. Hundreds of thousands of jobs and thousands of small businesses will die
And itโs broader than just weed drinks. Itโs farmers, processors, manufacturers, and brands
Obviously I have an enormous amount of skin in the game, but this bill is egregious.
Lost job numbers are more than just numbers to the people who feel the true impact of what will happen. Itโs really sad
On the positive side - thereโs a lot of momentum to fight this and we (along with many other industry stakeholders) are going to throw everything we have it
Just to be clear: I am not delaying this bill. The timing is already fixed under Senate procedure. But there is extraneous language in this package that has nothing to do with reopening the government and would harm Kentuckyโs hemp farmers and small businesses.
Standing up for Kentucky jobs is part of my job.
