October 12th 1492,

the day the first illegal immigrants arrived in America

i feel like we don’t hear as much about white supremacist militias as we did 5 years ago because most of them just joined ICE

[Kelly @broadwaybabyto]

What happened to Renee Nicole Good wasn’t the first time ICE has shot a citizen

A Black man named Keith Porter was shot & killed by ICE on New Year’s Eve

Marimar Martinez was shot five times by an ICE officer in Chicago who went on to brag about leaving seven holes in her body

[Polling USA @USA_Polling]

If they're willing to shoot a white woman in the streets, imagine what ICE is doing to brown folks in their concentration camps

[Of The Trees @OfTheTrees]

I find myself increasingly disillusioned with the structural choices made in this season’s iteration of Casa Amor. The execution felt not only contrived, but fundamentally lacking in the psychological tension and narrative depth that once defined its purpose.

If you're based on Southern California and can find it in your heart to temporarily house an animal, please consider doing so. Many shelters are overwhelmed with pets as a result of the fire. Contact your local animal shelter to see how you can help.

[derek guy @dieworkwear]

For SoCal friends,

Here is a list of resources for shelter, animal boarding, free items, and distribution hubs. These places can also use donations (e.g., food, water, masks, and blankets). Please consider donating if you can.
