This weekend’s F1 GP will make for such good trivia questions in the future.
“In 2026, at F1’s Bahrain GP, the FIA issued a weather warning due to high heat in Malasyia. Why?”
🇦🇹 | George on Verstappen’s crash:
“Verstappen? I didn't even see the car, because I was really far away. The double yellow flag means immediate danger. I think the single yellow was correct"

@fia Not sure why anyone should bither to watch this sport when you uphold such low standards for safety and regulations. How is a driver in the wall, struggling to get out of the car and you allow the other driver to go flat out in that same corner?

Max Verstappen and his manager, Raymond Vermeulen, met with top Red Bull figures at the company's Salzburg headquarters ahead of the Barcelona GP. According to reports, the discussions covered not only his future with the Austrian team but also the ownership structure of Red Bull Racing and Racing Bulls.
McLaren CEO Zak Brown has complained about this multiple times. He has even sent a letter to the FIA calling for such ownership structures — in which one owner controls two teams — to be banned. Red Bull team boss Laurent Mekies has indicated that the team is willing to take more steps to assure the rest of the grid that they are not gaining unfair advantages from the collaboration.
According to F1 journalist Joe Saward, Verstappen could play a key role in the steps that parent company Red Bull GmbH can take. The Brit writes in The Business of Motorsport that there are some quite creative stories circulating about how Red Bull can secure Verstappen's services at least beyond 2026. One idea is that the group could offer him a controlling interest in Racing Bulls, meaning Red Bull would no longer be the owner of two teams. At the same time, Saward writes that this option is unlikely.
However, it would be a way to keep the Dutchman on board. The idea that Verstappen wants to expand his racing empire is not crazy, as he is already doing so with Verstappen Sim Racing and his own GT3 team, which collaborates with Mercedes-AMG Motorsport in the GT World Challenge Europe and at the Nordschleife. It seems Verstappen remains the key to the 2026 driver market in many ways, until his plans are officially confirmed.

Yeah, no, sorry. Call me too woke if you want, but I genuinely hate the idea of Max winning with a team that celebrated when he was sent to the hospital and called it a “good lesson”.
you’re right, he was such a lovely father (still unsure if this hill you’re dying on of jos not being abusive isnt just part of some sick humiliation kink, like you have to enjoy being stupid in front of people or something)
What Max Verstappen did for his legacy this season didn’t need a championship to confirm.
Of the now 35 title holders in F1 history, only a few could have done what he did.
