@heroesahead While yours is a valid criticism, the fact that Disney's writers are only capable of quirk-slop dialogue means they made the right call for the circumstances.
If I made a sequel to 50 Shades of Gray and turned it into a gritty military thriller I don't think anyone would say "nobody hate 50 Shades like 50 Shades fans."
At some point a thing is changed so much it ceases to be the thing. People are observing the Ship of Theseus and going "no, no, this is still the same ship" even though it looks very different
Counterpoint: Since everyone in the sequel trilogy always immediately and irrevocably liked Rey, they all continue to like Rey despite her doing objectively evil things.
The film is Palpatine internally struggling with the dissonance of even his victims liking and sympathizing with him. Finally at the end of the film he tells everyone that he is in fact Sheev in Rey's body after she killed him.
Everyone celebrates Sheev coming out as trans
@heroesahead Lucas thinking about war: what if we had a secessionist movement that wanted tax reforms but couldn’t due to corruption and had to rely on mass produced droids to fight against mass produced organics
Disney thinking about war: what if black people had thoughts?
Again it’s remarkable how unremarkable it is that major left wing pundits justifying breaking officers spines with hammers because of their retarded politics. They’ll justify a black teen stabbing a white teen for being asked to leave because of their retarded politics. They’ll justify the mob burning down storefronts because of their retarded politics. They’ll justify your death too.
@JadeAtrophis "Historians": you know, the Israelites actually used to worship pagan Gods!
Jeremiah, Isaiah, Elijah, and the rest of the prophets: *weeping* Yes, we know
Thanks for your critique, Janet. We actually tried a couple of episodes where House (Hugh Laurie) (please put the brackets in the right place) gets it right first time, but they were only 6 minutes long. NBC weren’t happy. Then we tried some where House never gets it right and the patient dies. The audience wasn’t happy.
One could apply your trenchant analysis to other art forms: JS Bach wrote 30 Goldberg variations on the same chord structure; Frida Kahlo painted 50 portraits of herself; Henry Moore, what??
The point is, or was, variations on a theme; if all you see is hospital, medical blah blah, then it wasn’t meant for you.
Nonetheless, I look forward to your first novel!
So she did a bunch of sex drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll stuff, lied about it, got married to a foreign government agent, had an affair with Destiny, and came to the conclusion that the problem is traditional Christian morality and marriage. Lol.
