Underdiscussed aspect of Evangelion is just how expressive the characters are. I don't think I have ever seen a better portrayal of pure antipathy and disdain than Asuka is any other visual medium, live action or animated.
@AwesomeUKFacts@STINKYPENlS@santosvenganza You're probably mixing two games up. Otherwise if you found some way to do multiplayer without them then share how with the world cause that'd be a cool discovery.
@Jawmuncher Another factor I think people overlook are games or ports that would've had a wide physical release 10 years ago now being stuck with fomo chains like Limited Run.
@_JOEZCafe Can't ever hate on RPCS3. The progress its made is insane I remember when PS3 emulation was considered impossible and the early days of RPCS3 where all it could do was boot up the Disgaea title screen.
@thehex63 There's been a lot of twitter bots from Africa and Nigeria lately spouting the dumbest Obsession takes. I've blocked like ten of them in the last two weeks.
@Jeffe73891152 Nah I agree. 2016 and Eternal's gameplay was awesome but I was not a fan of the doom slayer stuff. Doomguy's appeal is that he's your average joe who managed to fight through hell and back. Still need to play TDA.
@Jess_TheVampire I'm not talking about people trying to abuse the system. I'm talking about people who buy a game that winds up being shorter than expected and there's nothing left to keep them satisfied. I have nothing against short games I'm a huge shmup fan.
There's nothing to fix. If the game can be completed within the two hour window and there's nothing about it that will make players wanna keep it then they're within their right to refund.

- 23 years old
- solo game developer from Germany
- goes on vacation, tries paddle boating with his brother
- realizes how hard it actually is
- gets home, builds a physics-based coop paddle game around the idea
- ships the demo in 2 weeks
- releases the full game as "Paddle Paddle Paddle"
- game blows up
- sells over 150,000 units
- goes full-time as an indie dev
- named Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe 2026
should be a total win
- 90% positive reviews
- game clearly works, clearly isn't broken
but the game is short, tight, and easy to finish fast
- 55,000 refunds
- 21% refund rate
- $164,000 clawed back at $2.99 a copy
not because it's bad
because Steam's refund window has a blind spot
- less than 2 hours played, 14 days since purchase
- instant refund, no questions asked
- built to protect buyers from broken games
- can't tell "this didn't work" from "I beat this and want my money back"
this exact exploit already happened in 2021
- different indie dev, Emika Games, hit the same wall
- nearly quit the industry over it
Valve still hasn't fixed it
- posts about it publicly, gets support from the community
- keeps developing anyway
- already teasing his next game, a coop voice-controlled chaos game called CAAAHR
went from a shower thought on vacation to 150,000 units sold to a six-figure hole in his pocket, all from the same industry that put him on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list
@VinciusMedeiro6 Lost media as a term got bastardized from media that's literally impossible to access to it's kinda troublesome to obtain. It's annoying.
Ico is fine but the Shadow of the Colossus remaster is actually ass to play cause the original game's logic was tied to framerate and the remaster didn't consider that. Hope you love losing grip.
@Firstscreamto Decided to see this on a whim after your tweet popped into my feed today. Amazed I never heard of it this has gotta be one of the best werewolf movies I ever saw.
@sharpedges756 @_hal33m What's really baffling to me is right before he talks about Maiden he talks about enjoying the more melodic aspects of a previous band so you'd think Maiden would be right up his ally.
Turns out the corporate dystopia genre gen x created wasn't about how inhumane it was packing people like rats to do mundane tasks 8+ hours a day, rather it was a warning about the dangers of being a lazy bones.
@RobynWingsIt Maybe The Crying Game though its twist doesn't get brought up nearly as much as it did in the 90s and early 2000s. Also Friday the 13th and Sleepaway Camp.
