@callumplin@ASViking@AaronBower@DcblStadium Can't see myself popping up again whilst they're at Dronfield. RL and footie are generally my 'going out', so grounds with no decent access unless you drive just drop off my list. Hope you're new place goes well, seems pretty well planned so 🤞
@callumplin@ASViking@AaronBower@DcblStadium Yeah, Sheffield are technically my closest league team so have popped up to Olympic Park a few times and went to the Fax match last week. Got the train in and certainly got the steps in 🥵 annoyingly the wrong direction for the other pubs there 😂
@Bobolinger5@whatmichaelsays@AaronBower They had a weird drop off after covid, their fans seemed slower to return and they were scaling back the freebies they had been giving away. That in itself seemed to bite them. The size of that stadium was always a massive risk 😕
@ward__dan@Six_Again@Giantsrl Investing 2.5-3.3 million quid a year for that stay would be utter insanity in this sport, unless he's happy to piss 10 million away there's no hope of any return on that or there is no intention of leaving.
@ASViking@AaronBower@DcblStadium Sheffield's have dropped again after another move, about 8 miles. Not sure the age demographic of the crowds particularly helps any move.
@DaveVarley8@whatmichaelsays@AaronBower That's pretty much how I see them, and their attendances were still making the headlines in 25 due to empty seats if I remember right. I have a friend that goes quite regularly, but he's a lifelong Quin's fan and he see's Sale as his best option living up here.
@M_Shaw1 Always seems a tough sell growing fans of a relocated club to support a club that's not theirs or expecting those that already do to follow them. Then what if they go back? Has the club got any market research to suggest this works or it's just the only ground they can get?
