It's interesting how quickly some people see a basic AI-generated animation and conclude that well-crafted, conceptual 3D work is basically over.. as if AI is about to replace the entire 3D creative process.

It highlights a pretty big gap in understanding both the real capabilities of the tools and what actually goes into making strong creative work.

Intentional 3D will always command premium $ over generic AI generations.

Just to be clear, this isn’t coming from fear. I use AI regularly in my own workflow. It’s a powerful tool that 3D artists should be leveraging, not something for shortcuts or amateurs.

Reminder to creative leaders: Be mindful in how you treat your direct reports. They notice when you let them do great work… and when you bury their talent because you see it as competition.

Many are quietly training for bigger roles- some because they genuinely love execution more than managing people and meetings.

Kindness and respect are free.

Regret is expensive.

I hate to say it, but Optical Flares and Element 3D are surprisingly useful. I can’t even count how many times I’ve opened a project and immediately gotten hit with the ‘missing plugin’ error for these two.

Depends on the client.. some send you files loaded with an E3D setup, while others just love throwing Optical Flares everywhere.

Hot take: Boris plugins are overrated AF. They kill your performance, add grain & smearing, and 90% of their effects are easily beaten by native After Effects tools.
