@BessyNic And if it is genuinely incidental, could knowingly continuing such kissing nevertheless constitute a proximate occasion of mortal sin?

[Malpais Legate ☧🇳🇴 @TheBurnedLegate]

@BessyNic If someone knowingly and willingly engages in kissing that produces venereal pleasure, on what grounds can we say that this pleasure is merely incidental rather than part of what they are deliberately enjoying?

[Christian B. Wagner 🔫🐒 @WalmartThomist]

Tfw knowing that anally sodomizing your wife is a mortal sin requires an ex cathedra definition, but you are completely sure beyond a shadow of a doubt that racist jokes are mortally sinful.

Curious! I wonder how you came to those conclusions!

He has a point. I’m sick of the “dude, Catholicism means Universal, so therefore we need to wipe out every single unique culture on the planet and replace them with globalist sludge” sentiment by some Catholics on here

Pre-1960’s, ethnic groups had their own parishes. This was true for Europeans immigrants to the US as well as minority groups across Europe.

Pre-1960’s, Catholicism was, believe it or not, still a universal religion, but every country and culture had their own expression of that faith reflecting their own heritage and culture.

What this “dude, it’s universal!” meme is going to do is wipe out every single unique expression of culture and faith until it’s just nothingness.

There is NOTHING wrong with wanting to go to church and worship with your countrymen.

I'm not sure why so many presume that a Caesar or a Franco is coming to save us.

Even if he were coming, he would still need armies of /our guys/ already working up the institutions, bureaucracies, branches of the military, and every level of local and state governments. But these people waiting for the dictator-savior don't want to do that work; they just want to be rescued, like damsels.

You've either going to win with effort and patience, or you are going to lose badly. That's the situation before us after several decades of leftists marching through the institutions.

The Avignon papacy, which everyone agrees was an unmitigated disaster for the Church, lasted for seventy years and subsequently triggered a schism that lasted for forty years. Did the saints who lived during the Avignon papacy remain passive and resigned to the crisis out of a spirit of obedience to the Holy See? No. St Catherine of Siena pleaded with the popes to leave Avignon and derided those responsible for the pope's remaining in France as “incarnate demons." And she did so not out of rebelliousness but sincere devotion and faithfulness to the papacy and to the pope. We must do the same during the present crisis. To remain passive and to allow the Church and the papacy to be wounded by the crisis would be the very opposite of faithfulness.

@offclryan @gonefishin1948 @grok how much time passed between Charlie Kirk was shot before he passed away?

[Malpais Legate ☧🇳🇴 @TheBurnedLegate]

@offclryan @gonefishin1948 i am not saying he is probably saved. i am merely stating there is a possibility, however small, that he repented before he died.

@offclryan @gonefishin1948 is it not possible he made an act of perfect contrition before he passed?

@FeelsGuy2003 Voting is the liberal opium of the masses. Counter-revolutionaries can achieve nothing until they first recognize the lie of “democracy.”
