Savings of several years goes to zero once a family renews their UK visa.
Qualified professionals getting 100s of rejections cos of visa.
It is psychologically draining.
We must continue to support each other & demand better from our leaders at home.
This cycle of pain must end with us!
I remember posting about my new job role and visa extension.
The comment and quotes I saw that day from some people I’ve previously helped and advised about healthcare career scared me that day.
The enemy is always within.
No matter what, keep some big wins off twitter .
Everybody go dey okay.
Missing parcels and food online is now the most common robbery currently happening in the UK.
Ordered myself lunch at work, was tracking the delivery guy only to see Food delivered but no delivery man in sight .
This is very common with the Just Eat company and I don’t know their vetting system for recruitment but it’s needs to be reviewed.
Getting my refund and deleting the just eat app forever .
Enough is enough.
Please let’s just take it easy and have a balance to enjoy life .
As a manager , one of my staff fainted standing while Caring for a palliative client .
The mother showed us the CCTV and I was so scared, this guy fell like a mango tree. This Nigerian guy can do 9 days out of 7.
I’ve never seen his kind of love for money. The annoying part, even the client family said he barely rest or eats decent meals. With all the money all he does is buy Sneakers 👟 and Greggs to eat.
Guess what, his fainting on duty was an accident , the family raised safeguarding against him with CQC and local authorities. I found myself having to prepare a report showing his training , Annual leave log . Ever since I have put him on 5 days work only following GP advice .
This guy told someone I am a bad manager for limiting his work and even the client family are now even trying to get him doing 7 days again after they made a safeguarding.
He is angry at me for helping him not to overwork himself to death .
A Nigerian man at my mum’s work place passed away during night shift and doctors were unable to resuscitate him after several hours he was officially pronounced dead.
My mum and all colleagues are heartbroken and so down for this young man who is a very hardworking and supportive team member.
His blood pressure was high and that’s the suspected cause but nothing can be confirmed until coroner report.
My mum said his wedding is this Friday and now he passed away.
Please everyone take care of your health in UK, don’t be in a haste to achieve things like mortgages, cars , building fancy home in Nigeria and comparing yourself to others. Some people you compare yourself have been in this UK way longer than you imagine so trying to edge or equal them might make you push your body too hard .
Please stay alive and have a balance.
Thank you again for all the messages, encouragement and support. I may not be able to respond to every DM individually, but I genuinely appreciate them. ❤️

As a care manager in the UK, your biggest problem is staff cancellation without genuine reason.
I’ve tackled this by employing actively and ensuring staff do their contracted hours only.
Staff fatigue and stress is a major reason most people cancel shifts abruptly.
