@Patrick_am_I@DudeAbidin@jimgeraghty You throw out accusations that either myself or the other poster is lying.
You have no evidence otherwise.
The truth is we need new AF1s, yesterday. Even back in 9/11 they couldn't meet the demands; Bush couldn't contact his national security team.
@Patrick_am_I@DudeAbidin@jimgeraghty People like you, who deny reality and refuse to believe any set of facts if they run contradictory to what you think.
@Patrick_am_I@DudeAbidin@jimgeraghty No, they don't. The backup is in pieces in San Antonio. The primary had to air return back to Andrews a few months ago, forcing the President to use the 757.
@Patrick_am_I@DudeAbidin@jimgeraghty Yeah, the current VC-25As are worn out. The engines aren't manufactured any longer nor supported, the Air Force is having to manufacture their own replacement parts, and the generators cannot provide enough power to the advanced technology for today's military.
@jimgeraghty No US carriers bought the 747-8.
UPS and Atlas bought the cargo version, but you can't convert the cargo version to a passenger.
Boeing ended the line. Ergo, you have to buy used and from foreign nations.
