New record for 🇵🇰🇵🇰 technology exports in a single quarter.

$1.25 Billion in July-Sep 2026 ✅✅

Expecting $5 Billion+ IT exports in FY27.

IT exports is our best bet in solving our import/export imbalance and providing high quality jobs to educated Pakistanis.

Pakistan is one of the world’s longstanding & largest contributors to @UNPeacekeeping.

It was inspiring to meet some of the Pakistani women & men #ServingForPeace with courage & distinction in some of the most world’s most difficult & dangerous environments.

I thank them for their service & sacrifice.

[António Guterres @antonioguterres]

Pakistan is on the frontlines of climate chaos despite contributing only a tiny fraction of global emissions.

My visit during the 2022 floods will stay with me forever.

That tragedy showed the world a profound injustice.

As the source of 80% of global emissions, G20 countries must respect their commitments & urgently reduce their emissions.

[The President of Pakistan @PresOfPakistan]

Remarks of UN Secretary General at the Special Investiture Ceremony:

Your Excellency, Mr. President,
Your Excellency, Mr. prime
Ladies and gentlemen,
As-salam-alaikum.
Thank you. Shukriya.
My gratitude runs deep.
I am profoundly moved by this high honour.
I accept it on behalf of the women and men of the United Nations – serving around the world, including here in this great country.
I am nearing the end of my tenure as Secretary-General – and I was determined to make one last visit to Pakistan.
I have been a frequent traveler here going back to my days as UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
Through the years, I have seen the hospitality of the Pakistani people as you provided refuge to millions.
I have seen your solidarity and resilience as you confront the brutality of terrorism.
I have seen the heartbreak and devastation of epic floods and a climate crisis Pakistan did virtually nothing to cause.
I have seen the heroism and valor of Pakistani women and men serving as UN peacekeepers around the world.
I know the real Pakistan because I have seen the real Pakistan.
And so as I thank you for the award you bestow on me and the United Nations.
I want to also thank you for what you have given to the world.
I think the great poet-philosopher of Pakistan, Allama Iqbal, put it best.
He was speaking of individuals, but he could just as well have been speaking of a nation when he wrote the following:
“Build, with your handful of dust, a body stronger than a fortress,
And inside this body, let there be a heart that feels sorrow,
Like a stream flowing by a mountain.”
This is how I see the people of Pakistan.
A country of strength. A country of determination. A country of compassion and heart.
On behalf of a grateful United Nations, I thank you.

Speaking to Pakistan TV correspondent Rana Abdullah, UN Secretary-General António Guterres said, “I could not finish my mandate as Secretary-General without coming again to Pakistan because Pakistan is deep in my heart.”
Good job, Abdullah ❤️

[António Guterres @antonioguterres]

Over many years, I have admired the Pakistani people: generous, resilient, compassionate & steadfast in the face of immense challenges.

I am deeply honoured by Pakistan’s recognition today of the work of @UN.

I am grateful & accept this award on behalf of the women & men of the United Nations – serving around the world & here in Pakistan.

[Maryam Nawaz Sharif @MaryamNSharif]

Alhamdolillah!
I bow my head to The Almighty and dedicate this great honour to the people of Punjab. May we go from strength to strength. Ameen. 🇵🇰

[António Guterres @antonioguterres]

For over two decades in different roles, I have seen Pakistan as a source of solidarity & solutions. But what has always stood out to me is the resilience of the Pakistani people & their determination to build a better future.

My message is simple:

The @UN stands with the people of Pakistan. And I thank the Pakistani people for standing up for the world.

History made, and in some style.

Pakistan fought back from two goals down to make it 2–2, earning a point in the process.

The two goals we scored tonight are the first two goals scored by the Men’s National Team in a FIFA tournament in our history.

A night to remember. 🇵🇰🦅

[Haider Naqvi @IamHaiderSN]

Big shout out to the Prime Minister of Pakistan @CMShehbaz for his incredible and powerful speech. His strong stance on Palestine and Kashmir at the UNGA shows his true leadership nd determination.

BIG: Pakistan’s PM Shehbaz Sharif:

The shared waters of the Indus River system are the lifeblood not only for the people of Pakistan but for the entire region.

Any attempt to stop, impede, or divert Pakistan's share of the waters will be treated as an act of war.

India must make no mistake about it.

[Anas Mallick @AnasMallick]

Any tampering to Pakistan’s waters is a declaration of war, Pakistan’s PM @CMShehbaz makes it abundantly clear during his #UNGA81 address
