@20korg @GIMilner @ianshepherd@HrishiHirway Also, re: television commercials, I've been using FMR's RNC on my TV for years. It makes everything including movies with lots of dynamic range a whole lot more enjoyable!
@20korg @GIMilner @ianshepherd@HrishiHirway I'm surprised that you guys didn't mention Metallica's 2008 album 'Death Magnetic.' Their album prompted a huge discussion about "the loudness wars," as it was so compressed that it was deemed practically unlistenable by many folks. That would have been a great audio example, imo
@planetmoney I'd like to hear your opinions re:investing in human beings. In the novel "The Unincorporated Man," humans are incorporated and don't own majority of themselves - shareholders are parents, gov't,schools, corps, etc., who bought stock on 2nd markets. Can we do this?
@SwitchedOnPop Agreed. One very cool example of an artist using rhythmic space with intention that I always think of is Shuggie Otis, on his song "Sparkle City." If you like, check it out, starting around 4m50s: https://t.co/hf2ZlNOCTp
@SwitchedOnPop I enjoyed your episode on "Space." I'd like to hear your thoughts on the other aspect of space in music - rhythmic space. I'm constantly talking to my bandmates about playing less and letting grooves breathe... What do you guys think?
@TTChelps what is going on with the subway? It's not even cold anymore... Between the presto issues and the consistently terrible service, I'm about ready to give up on the TTC
@JohnTory@Kathleen_Wynne Please help! 75% of the available rentals in Toronto are AirBnb, and I can't afford to both pay rent and eat anymore. How are we supposed to live??
