Blood clots have NOT statistically changed since Covid vaccines in either the NFL or NBA according to injury reports and searchable records.
Sorry to ruin some narratives but the data says no change
Awful Announcing has obtained documents indicating ESPN chairman Jimmy Pitaro and Fox Sports CEO Eric Shanks personally lobbied for changes to the Protect College Sports Act that would protect their existing TV contracts.
After their efforts, the bill's language was amended ⤵️

CC was drafted into a situation where she already had TWO established All Stars from 2023 in Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston. KM would go on to become an All-WNBA First Team selection and finish top three in MVP voting, while AB would become an All WNBA Second Team selection. That’s two All WNBA players and two former No. 1 overall picks on the same roster.
The Fever went from 5 wins in 2022 to 13 wins in 2023 after drafting AB No. 1 overall, an eight win improvement. In 2024, with CC, they improved by seven wins, finishing 20-20 and makin the playoffs with a non winning record.
Meanwhile, AR5 was drafted into a Chicago roster w/o a single established All Star teammate. No previous No. 1 overall pick already there, no established All-Stars to help carry the load, and nowhere near the same level of proven talent surrounding her.
So Angel gettin traded to Atlanta for 2 first picks didn’t suddenly give her some unfair advantage. It only evened the playin field.
The difference is, when Angel finally got the opportunity to play alongside that caliber level of talent, she helped take Atlanta straight to the WNBA Finals in her very FIRST season there, endin a 13 yr Finals drought dating back to 2013.
Angel got there. She came in, worked hard, made an immediate impact, won Defensive Player of the Year, and helped push tht team to a level it hadn’t reached in over a decade.
Do yall really want to have this “stacked” team conversation?!! 😎
Glad more @WNBA fans are calling out @RyanRuocco and @RebeccaLobo’s unprofessionalism. Last night wasn’t an anomaly. It’s the NORM. Rebecca was just more openly biased than usual. And as @Realrclark25 suggested, she’s doing what ESPN/ABC leaders order. Make of that what you will.
For the record…
Angel Reese is just the 3rd player under 25 in #WNBA history to notch a 5-game playoff stretch with at least 90 points and 19 stocks
Great company, I’d say
Angel Reese was traded to the Dream on April 6. Not even a week later, the Valkyries signed Gabby Williams to a multi year deal. These are the two most important additions in the offseason and now they meet in the Finals. Unreal.
TWO TEAMS. ONE TITLE. HISTORY ON THE LINE. 🏆
The @AtlantaDream and @valkyries will go head-to-head in the WNBA Finals as both franchises are in search of their first Championship in league history.
Game 1 tips-off Saturday, October 17 at 3:30pm/ET live on NBC and Peacock!
I can’t think of another expansion franchise that has done what the Valkyries have been able to do after two seasons. They have the highest attendance in the league, the highest valuation, and now they’re headed to the W Finals. That is an absurd trajectory.
kaitlyn chen got a princeton degree, a national championship & she might be a wnba champion, i promise you her asian aunts still gonna ask why she not in the medical field at the christmas party this year
