Your BIP-39 passphrase is why your Coldcard wasn't drained. But plenty of people set one in 2021 and can't reproduce it today — and you can't migrate funds you can't sign for.
What to do if that's you, and what not to do:

Crypto in an estate sits where technical recovery meets legal process.
The best outcomes come from the executor, the estate attorney, and a recovery specialist working together — discreetly and with documentation — rather than someone going at it alone.
One thing that is actually *underappreciated* about Elon is his humility
He's talking to a reporter who is, by her tone and framing of questions, clearly trying to chide and belittle him
It’s not obvious that the richest man in the world would do any of this.
She is clearly trying to provoke him iwth gotcha soundbites like "do you think about why people loathe you" "do you think what you're doing is good for western democracy"
The tone is clearly "wouldn't you like to apologize for how evil and shameful you've been"
He's taking minutes of his time (idk how to estimate their dollar value) to do submit to this
He keeps responding calmly and genuinely stating what specifically he believes
He is not flexing his own accomplishments, power, or knowledge as anything other than a regular person who refuses to be shamed into conformity
He is clearly trying to engage with her rather on the content of things rather than just "win"
The irony of all of her barbed questions and implied moral superiority is that despite every reason to be the opposite, Elon is actually **more humble** than she is.
DIY recovery gets dangerous fast when: the password is truly forgotten with no seed phrase, the wallet file is corrupted, or real money is on the line.
One wrong move on your only copy can turn a recoverable wallet into a lost one.
1/ If you've spent days running Hashcat or BTCRecover against an old wallet and gotten nowhere — you're not doing it wrong. We asked our lead cryptanalyst (in the field since 2004) to explain why some recoveries stall even after you've done everything right. 👇
My personal expectation on $STRC is that we're facing the first redemption day since the introduction of the bi-weekly dividend payments.
That's on the 30th of June.
Probably this window has been used to maximize gains on from a larger play (for instance Jane Street) to generate a return for themselves and therefore, price should bounce back swiftly.
In my opinion, to avoid any of these cascades in the future, I'd suggest Saylor should introduce daily payments of the dividend, as the incentive to move the underlying asset into another direction to generate a higher yield will be decreased.
