@GernaderJake Don't I know it. This month one of our 3 dogs was diagnosed with cancer and had to have a $7k surgery. Less than a week later, another dog got really sick and had to spend 5 days in the ER -- another $6k. A hell of a one-two punch.

@gmiddleb Exactly same. Every once in a while I take my case off because the phone looks and feels so nice without it, but goddamn, it only takes 2 minutes until it has almost slipped out of my hands and I put it back in the case.

@TechnoTimLive I'm using democratic-csi with my cluster, mounting iSCSI volumes from my TrueNAS box, but it has been unreliable. Periodically the volumes will go read-only -- maybe some kind of transient latency issue? -- and the pod will stop working until restarted. I long for a simpler setup

@TechnoTimLive I've been struggling with the same dilemma. I love k8s's API, but for a homelab, the complexity of a multi-node cluster, storage, etc, is a PITA. Maybe you're right, a single node might be the answer. But k8s has limits on number of pods per node, right? Could that be an issue?

@inxilpro Rarely, but I expected that. But it’s so nice to be able to make something when I need it. Main issue is that the easiest plastic to use, PLA, is brittle and not very strong, so only good for light duty tasks. Plastics like ABS are strong but more finicky to get to print properly

@aarondfrancis @PlanetScale That is so shocking and unexpected -- the videos you made for PlanetScale were SO valuable, both as purely educational content and also as marketing for the company. I'd been eagerly awaiting your return to action. But I'm sure you'll find a new place to hang your hat soon enough
