Have no self-image (to protect or to enhance) — that's awakening.
Let the projected self of the body and mind do its thing, know you are not them.
Be free.
"Everything is honored, but nothing matters."
~ Eckhart Tolle
This is the state of mind of the enlightened. The one who knows that everything in life is just fleeting, doesn't cling to certain conditions.
Nothing stays as it is. So you don't attach your expectations to what's ever-changing.
You respect all that life offers you, but you don't compulsively demand things to be different.
This kind of satisfaction and freedom from the conditions is enlightenment.
This is basically freedom from conditioning - or the state of external conditions.
Right now, see this within yourself - you need the conditions to be in place, to be your way - to really feel happy.
But once you see that things cannot always be your way - and you accept this fact - there's freedom in this realisation.
You allow life to be - without letting the fears and desires of the ego to obscure the present moment.
You start enjoying what is. And not label the present through the lens of the past.
You don't seek future for fulfilment. But remain in the present - to eventually see that it's good and it's quite enough.
This is freedom from the past as well as the thinking mind.
You are aware but not compulsively and unconsciously thinking.
In this there's joy and fulfilment.
@Vipintiwari952 How many games did he play consecutively after being promoted to opener? His record as an opener stands tall above so many others. Surya failed for so many innings. Sanju has just failed for 2. So chill.
You being a person is a myth.
You are being trapped in a form, a body is also a myth.
You realise this when you actually don't take your thoughts too seriously.
The thoughts create personhood. When you see through the thoughts that pass, you find them false.
That's it. You find you were never in forms. No form can be your own.
Thoughts forms, sense perceptions and emotions - these are forms occuring in the present.
You are none of them. You are aware of them - but not in them. Turn within and see.
What remains is you. The substratum of existence is not separate from who you are.
Life then flows effortlessly because there's no person to protect. No ego, no problems.
The individual self (ego) stands against something all the time.
It creates conflict within itself, it either stands against situations or people.
Truth is - it's creating this moment into an enemy. The mind is resisting something.
As you become more and more aware of this mind tendency, you'll notice it's so common.
Life's flow gets restricted. You find yourself in a trap. The trap of unconscious and compulsive thoughts.
To recognise this in itself is a great step towards freedom.
Acceptance is an inner understanding that comes from wisdom - when you see that it's futile to resist something that already is.
This way, you realise your oneness with all that is. You end resistance.
Human conditioning makes you fear that you'll die with nothing.
Facts: you are nothing.
Human thinking mind creates a hell of a lot of suffering believing that it will achieve things.
Okay, but for how long? Truth is - this life's gonna end, this lifetime is going to end.
Why are you then chasing materiality? It all looks stupid from this point of view.
All these desires mean nothing when you see truth of your being.
Suffering is mind-made. The source of that is within. Wake up.
The ego in you wants to make the "other" and fight it. Reality is - there are no others.
That's how the mind works. It's always creating separation between this and that.
Truth is there can't be separation or dividing lines in existence.
If you yourself perceive, not through the mind or borrowed knowledge, you see reality is one.
Freedom is a matter of direct perception and seeing things how they are.
If there's pain inside you, it's your responsibility to see - what creates that?
Basically you need to realise it's you who creates that pain and sustains it unconsciously.
Pain is a kind of resistance, a feeling of misery or uneasiness.
You need to realise that you have the power to transmute that pain into joy.
You do that by becoming conscious that your inner states are in your control always. Your body and mind will feel whatever you allow.
Knowing this is vital. That you are the creator of what you think and feel. You are fully responsible of what happens within you.
External world can't be completely your way. But you can always master the way you live and the way you are.
With this in mind, and love in heart, you can do whatever. It will be conscious action.
Happiness is not an end goal. It's right here - where you choose it to blossom.
"If you reject everything,
what remains is the Self alone.
That is real love."
~ Sri Ramana Maharshi
Truth is no one knows anything and there's nothing to know. Self alone is and you are that.
The primary reason people don't achieve big goals is that they attribute too much importance to these outer goals.
They simply don't understand what they are looking for is just happiness and it's just created within.
Goals can be achieved effortlessly when you are at ease within yourself. You don't have to strive for happiness, it's just your own nature.
You can create things externally while being happy. You can manifest things while being who you truly are - a joy to the world.
You don't need to be dependent on the world to be happy. Why is this not just common sense? 😄😊
Happiness or misery both are created within you. So why do you seek to change external events for your happiness?
If you truly realise the source of all the happiness is just within you, what can prevent your joy?
You can be joyful any time you wish, for as long as you want. Do you see?
Nothing outside will be fully your way. But you can always be the way you want.
Choose bliss over misery. This conscious choice you always have.
Make use of this choice wisely, this makes you human.
Otherwise, we live unconsciously creating suffering for ourselves and others.
Choose being happy. Choose peace. Embrace inner responsibility for a better life.
