@Freezrbags24@BNightengale Based roughly off of 2025 team revenues, with 100% revenue sharing, each team would get $368M. Split 50/50 with players, that would be $184M on payroll, which should be the minimum. Would teams spend exactly to the floor, who knows, but its not likely.
@MarkCHealey Both the players and owners had a salary floor in their proposals, why do you not mention it? If the salary floor is $150,000,000 then he has to spend at least that much on the major league roster.
It's not this hard.
@ZackScottSports That's because you misunderstand competitive balance. It does not mean that 2 teams spending the same amount will win the same number of games. It does mean that everyone starts at the same starting line.
@PeterAppel23 Pirates called about Joe Ryan.
Twins countered with taking Justin Lawrence and his contract, for nothing at all.
Seems about right to me.
@Freezrbags24@BNightengale If the floor is set at $175,000,000, that would make the baseline, absolute minimum, the total salaries of all 30 teams in 2026. If the cap is 275,000,000, that would mean there is an opportunity for another $3 billion for the players, above what they are making this season.
@KVarmer@yinzer_g Yordan would cost one of Hernandez, Jones or Floentino and Chandler, he would not cost 3 or the 4. In an ideal world for both teams, it would be Chandler and Jones for Alvarez.
@notgaetti I am not simping for Bob Nutting, I wish he would sell.
However, his net worth has stayed pretty much the same since he became principle owner of the Pirates. The narrative that he is pocketing millions is false. Could he spend out of pocket, yes, but for how long?
@frazmoney93 Takehis top hand, turn it 20-30 degrees clockwise, lay the bat over his shoulder so it touches his back, something needs to be done to lengthen his swing.
@TAT1SSZN He is doing nothing different than Nolan Ryan, pitch-wise. He is being taken better care of than Nolan Ryan. There is a chance that he is going to be perfectly fine. There is also a chance he gets injured, but assuming either way is not the best idea.
@redpillb0t Technically, they could drill a well, pull from an aquefor, utilize the water 100% internal to a pipe and then return the water to the aquefor.
My question, why does my power bill go up 40% when they added a data center? If they need the power, they should pay for it.
@Freezrbags24@BNightengale Yes, that is the downfall. However, a cap system isnt meant to make ever single team competitive, it is meant to give ever team the same starting opportunity, from there, it would still fall on the GM to make good moves.
@KDPomp Well, you seem, Sanchez gave up 25 base hits, Mis gave up 20 total baserunners.
I mean, these are the 2 best pitching months by a pitcher, pretty much ever. It is hard to argue against either one.
@nutting_hostage A hell of a lot more than go to the games in Tampa or Miami. My brother-in-law and sister have season tickets, and they live on the Illinois/Indiana state line.
