So far I’ve counted three presentations on cerebral visual impairment and special need eye care in this years @BCOVS2021 programme, Thanks for helping us spread the word.
Message from Prof Williams: "Thanks all for such kind comments - and to all my lovely colleagues without whom nothing would have been possible. Onward!"
We are SO EXCITED to let you know that our marvellous boss and PI Cathy Williams has been promoted to Professor! We couldn't be happier for her and all she has achieved! 🥳👏🍾🥂✨👩🎓
Our new paper offers parent and child perspectives of living with CVI - highlighting the need for better awareness in education and health: https://t.co/uYQAKeSJ1H
We were delighted to have #CathyWilliams talk to us this morning on #CVI and her important work on improving outcomes for affected children and families - we’ve been so pleased to be able to support this study!

CALLING PARENTS/CARERS OF PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN! We need opinions on using NHS/education data in research, using 'opt out' rather than 'opt in' consent! Please DM us your email if you could look at an info sheet and send us your thoughts! Vouchers available to say thank you.

Fantastic Conversation about CVI with @katvancleef and @Johnny_Ravo. https://t.co/4t56mJ1DlT
Looking forward to reading Kathleen's pre-print publication on early qualitative signs of CVI!
@thecviproject@scotlandcvi Agreed, we pick up the pieces created by this situation, much heartache could be avoided through earlier identification and swift support. This is particularly upsetting when children are in known, ‘high risk’ groups.
We hear this far too often from families, sadly. We must keep researching and raising awareness together to make sure that all children with CVI have access to the support they need. @CVISociety@scotlandcvi
Our feasibility trial follow up data collection is underway! So grateful to the schools and families for sticking with us through so many changes. Online parent questionnaires are coming in every few seconds! #CVI#FeasibilityRCT#Intervention
