@tnagy18@FrameworkPuter@_tweedge The three outer segments create a spring under the button to support it. Here are a couple renders: https://t.co/XB9mrP7Web
@FrameworkPuter@_tweedge Thanks @FrameworkPuter for this opportunity, and for the mainboard! I'm a computer engineer who's only been doing CAD+3D printing for the last year, so getting something recognized is a huge deal for me! I'll be attempting to make a game deck from this board!
@012alexfranco @FrameworkPuter@_tweedge Not at all! I'm still receiving a mainboard for my efforts (thanks @FrameworkPuter!), my design is still going up on GitHub, and I had a lot of fun while learning a lot from the community!
@NancyKerryCM@WhiteHouse I just want to make sure that I understand your take here:
I struggled under predatory loans, but I ended up giving up more than I could afford, and that's a good thing. I want other people to struggle like I did, but worse now.
@deshakidd11@NancyKerryCM@WhiteHouse These people just don't want to hear that they struggled under rampant capitalism for no reason. They want everyone else to struggle like they did or worse so they can feel like it's just.
@AVK_ALLDAY@harry_kanna@KekwayB @DesiaRho @WhiteHouse I just want to make sure I understand:
Inexperienced YAs coerced into predatory loans and given disproportionate debt vs prospects... bad and should pay
Capable politicians and business lied about their payroll to gain disproportionate wealth... good and should not pay
The White Houseโs official Twitter account is harassing Republicans who took on business loans during a forced government shutdown.
Democrats have no explanation for the astronomical cost of their student loan plan.
@FrameworkPuter@Lenovo My submission! This button is a compliant mechanism, printable without supports, features the framework logo, and is flush with the case's print bed contact plane!
@zebarnabe@FrameworkPuter@Lenovo So the sub is a render of what it *would* look like when printed. I have printed just the button mechanism and a couple mms of surrounding case, and it functions flawlessly and feels very good. Here's a render of the *actual* design, and what I printed in the slicer:
@matt_hooks @FrameworkPuter@Lenovo I can definitely give something like that a try. The major hurdle in 3d printable designs which require flexibility is that PLA filament (most accessible) becomes inflexible around .5mm thickness (in my experience). That needs to be factored into the design.
