China has objected to the growing presence of Tibetan lamas in #Nepal, prompting Kathmandu to bar a Rinpoche at Beijing’s request. #China also complained about the burning of Xi Jinping’s book at a communist‑run college.

China removed & arrested #LobsangLungrig, head lama of Ba Gön Monastery in Yushu, #Tibet, in Dec 2024 for allegedly helping a now‑deceased fugitive monk obtain a teaching post. The @tchrd_ says his whereabouts have remained unknown since his detention.

#China's defence ministry says it has opened an investigation into Zhang Youxia, the country's highest-ranking general over "grave violations of discipline and the law".

My take on Zhang Youxia’s downfall:
I personally believe that the rumors I previously reported about Xi Jinping losing power or partially losing power are real.
However, the CCP elders who initiated that soft coup—Hu Jintao, Wen Jiabao, and Zhang Youxia who cooperated with them—still wanted to preserve the Party, maintain the Party’s face, and ensure internal stability within the Party.
They even hoped to return to the Deng Xiaoping era, which is unfeasible.
Because they didn’t act in time to completely take down Xi Jinping, they missed their opportunity and were counterattacked by Xi Jinping.
Last weekend, there were rumors that Xi Jinping was seriously ill and hospitalized. In hindsight, this was a smokescreen released by Xi Jinping to confuse his opponents.
It’s said that Zhang Youxia, who let his guard down, only brought four guards to the meeting and was captured by more than a hundred people ambushed there.
Some also say that Zhang Youxia did intend to take down Xi Jinping but was betrayed by an informant.
Unlike the case of another vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, He Weidong, whose downfall was officially announced only seven months later, this time the news was released just a few days after, which precisely indicates that Xi Jinping succeeded in his surprise attack and had to announce it immediately to stabilize the situation.
From a higher perspective, the destruction of the CCP is bound to happen. The anti-Xi faction within the CCP only wants to take down Xi Jinping while preserving the Communist Party, which is unfeasible.
But perhaps this new development was meant to happen. Now no one in the CCP will fantasize about “reform” anymore. They should all give up hope.
And perhaps more people will realize: There is no other way except to end the CCP.
So, 2026 will further continue to accelerate the demise of the Communist Party.
No matter how clever people are, they cannot defy heaven’s will.
Monks from various large and small monasteries in Tibet, incl Drepung & Sera Monasteries in Lhasa & the Gelug Monastery in Ngaba (Ch: Aba) held memorial services for victims of Tingri earthquake & prayed for survivors & donated to disaster-stricken areas.

JANUARY 23, 2024
U.S. Statement at the Universal Periodic Review of the People’s Republic of China
Delivered by Ambassador Michèle Taylor
The following is the U.S. Statement as prepared for delivery and as provided to the Secretariat of the Human Rights Council for the record. The text as delivered may have been shortened due to the strict time constraints during the UPR, however the text in full as provided below can be attributed to Ambassador Taylor.
Thank you, Mr. President.
We recommend that China:
1. Release all arbitrarily detained individuals, including in Xinjiang, Tibet, and Hong Kong, many of whom were named by the UN Working Group.
2. Cease harassment, surveillance, and threats against individuals abroad and in China including Xinjiang, Tibet and Hong Kong.
3. Cease discrimination against individuals’ culture, language, religion or belief; end forcible assimilation policies, including boarding schools, in Tibet and Xinjiang.
4. End torture, unjust residential detention, and persecution throughout China.
5. End forced labor, marriage, birth control, sterilization, abortion, and family separation in Xinjiang.
6. Repeal vague national security, counter-espionage, counter-terrorism, and sedition laws, including the National Security Law in Hong Kong.
7. End repressive measures against women, LGBTQI+ persons, laborers, and migrant workers, including in Hong Kong and Macao.
8. Permit the UN unhindered and meaningful access particularly in Xinjiang and Tibet.
We condemn the ongoing genocide and crimes against humanity in Xinjiang; human rights abuses in Tibet, Inner Mongolia, and across China; erosion of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms in Hong Kong; and transnational repression to silence individuals abroad.
I thank you.

As if China haven't stolen enough from Tibet, now it is trying to steal it's name!
In a political manoeuvre China has replaced the use of the “Tibet” with “Xizang” in official diplomatic documents and is pressing for governments to do the same.
#China's growing catalogue of #HumanRights assaults & abject failure to cooperate with the @UNHumanRights make it untenable for @UN Member States to support China’s election bid.

Last night, as Chinese VP Han Zheng joined world leaders gathered at the United Nations General Assembly in NYC, SFT coordinated a projection action.
We will make sure that the world knows that the Chinese government has ripped one million Tibetan children from their families.
This video is referred to as a "princess's view" shot. The video shows a vehicle heading towards the Great Hall of the People in #Beijing, with military personnel guarding along the way.
It is posted by the #X account, which is said to be belonging to #XiMingze, the only daughter of #XiJinping.
The video's caption reads: "On the last day of July, full of energy. Welcoming August, the first holiday is the #PLA Army Day 👍 The motherland is most beautiful 🇨🇳"
This kind of video and photo is what made people believe that this account really belongs to Xi Mingze.
