Let's debunk this myth of Aryan invasion theory, first. That's the main reason you still believe in Brahmins taking over Bharata and it was buddhism here, previously.

- No trace of large scale g€nocide was ever found in Indus valley.

Carbon-dating can bring out which relics r ancient, the budhha Era relics or the Brahminical relics.
DNA tests can establish, the ancestry; why these tests have been withheld from the general public? The height stature n coulor clearly shows that they r quite different
Tried being unavailable only to watch myself losing time and temperament due to comments, suggestions and questions. Nonetheless, being unavailable is equally draining. None of them is enjoyable being an aspirant as circumstances differs person to person.

@harshshah0904 Thanks for sharing. I just googled about this one it seems like a great layman’s guide with a lot of wit, plus I'm curious about those eccentric medical history stories. Added to my read list 🤌🏻

@AishwaryakiRai Instagram audience is so easy to manipulate. Add an emotional or phonk song, write a bunch of made-up facts, and watch everyone accept it without questioning a thing
Day 4 tick✔️

Not a perfect day, but a satisfying. The goal is to show up daily.
They were called Devadasis. Temple dancers. Court performers. Keepers of Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi.
Professional artists. Economically independent. Culturally respected for centuries.
Then the British arrived.
Victorian England had two categories for women:
Private = respectable (confined to home)
Public = prostitute (visible in society)
No third option.
When they saw Indian women performing publicly, earning money, moving freely in courts and temples—
Their moral framework short-circuited.
"Women. In public. Earning income. Must be prostitutes."
So they administratively reclassified an entire artistic profession.
Nautch Girl.
Public Woman.
Prostitute.
Three words. Same woman. Degrading with each translation.
Look at the evidence. 🖼️
Their attire. Their instruments. Their posture.
Do they look like what the label claims?
Or do they look like what they were—artists?
The Contagious Diseases Acts followed.
Criminal Tribes Act followed.
Surveillance. Licensing. Rescue missions.
An entire classical tradition moralized out of existence.
Today?
We still say "nautch girl" casually.
Still carry the Victorian stigma.
Still use their vocabulary to describe our artists.
150 years later.
Whose morality are we speaking? 🎭
