Grumpy, fearful old man waiting for God, unconditionally loving donkeys, in memory of his beloved donkey called Pumpkin 🎃🫏 Videos with Pumpkin on YouTube
Thank you to everyone concerned about our beautiful girl. ❤️ Someone suggested Lucky Moon, and we loved it — Lucky Star & Lucky Moon. ⭐🌙
Many asked us to keep them together. We tried, but Lucky Moon is currently in heat and Lucky Star was trying to mate, so we have temporarily separated them. We hope to reunite them once her cycle ends.
Her leg is sadly more complicated than arthritis. An old fracture has healed badly, leaving abnormal, sharp bone that is causing swelling and significant pain. Arthritis is also present.
We are consulting equine specialists and awaiting her blood results. Advanced equine orthopaedic surgery or a prosthetic limb is not realistically available to us here in Pakistan, so we don't want to give false hope.
Pain management is also difficult because she strongly resists injections, so our vets are using every safe option available, including medication through her food.
For now, we are not giving up. We have seen miracles before and will give Lucky Moon every reasonable chance. ❤️
But we will make her one promise: we will never prolong her agony. If there is ultimately no realistic way to give her a comfortable, pain-controlled life, helping her peacefully out of that suffering will be our very last act of love. 🌙❤️
I started preparing for winter while it was still hot.
I researched the cheapest, strongest options I could find — tyre beds, storage-drum dens, locally stitched fleece blankets, and now wooden houses.
I started asking for help months ago.
But winter is already here… and still, the appeal keeps circling mostly among the same few wonderful people who have already done so much.
That is the part that hurts.
Hundreds see the posts. Many like them. But only a few share.
A like stays inside the same circle.
A share can take us to someone new.
Please, if you cannot donate, SHARE.
The nights are getting colder, and I am still waiting to finish what I started months ago for these animals. ❤️

THE WOOD HAS ARRIVED! 😭❤️ Another winter milestone!
I am honestly so happy seeing these plain wooden pieces standing against the wall today.
Because in just a few days… you won’t recognise them.
They are about to become warm, cosy little houses for our animals. 🏠🐾
This is what your donations are doing in real time. As soon as help comes in, we are putting it straight back into winter preparation.
Even the smallest donation can become something real — a piece of wood today, a warm little home tomorrow.
Each little house costs around £8 to make, and we still need many more.
And we are far from finished.
We still need:
warm shelters for the dogs who roam freely around the sanctuary,
tarpaulins and winter gowns for our donkeys,
more bedding and blankets,
and heating solutions for our huge animal halls.
But today, I just want to celebrate this step with you.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone helping us build warmth piece by piece. ❤️
Please keep helping and SHARING — winter is already here, and we still have so much left to do.

Every step she took felt like she was walking through agony.
She arrived at our shelter late night after almost eight hours on the road.
When she stepped down from the vehicle, her front legs seemed to fold beneath her. Her knees buckle with every step, and watching her try to walk honestly felt like someone was stamping on my heart.
What have we become, that an animal can be allowed to reach this state?
This beautiful older mare was found by our wonderful supporters Mr and Mrs Imran Khan.
While Imran was visiting Pakistan from the UK, he found her tied outside — exposed to the heat, rain and weather, often without proper food or water.
He pleaded with the owner. He argued. He tried everything.
In the end, the only immediate way he could get her out was to buy her.
She was not fit to make the long journey to us then, so Imran kept her at his home, arranged treatment and cared for her until she was strong enough to travel. Before returning to the UK, he arranged for her to come to TAWF.
And now she is finally here. ❤️
Tomorrow morning we are sending her bloods for testing. She has arthritis, but I am especially concerned about the way her front knees bend and buckle when she walks.
To my equine-experienced followers: I would really value your thoughts and experience on what you would want investigated in a mare presenting like this. Our veterinary team will of course make the medical decisions, but your experience is always valuable to us.
And I need another bit of advice.
She appears to be around 25 years old — very similar in age to our completely blind boy, Lucky Star.
Lucky Star has a large, comfortable area with soft ground, which would also suit her beautifully.
Would older horses like these generally benefit from companionship in the same space, provided introductions are done carefully? Or would you keep them beside one another but separated at first?
We would, of course, make sure there was no possibility of breeding.
And finally…
this beautiful girl needs a name. ❤️
What should we call her?
Please SHARE her story too. She has already spent far too many years unseen.

Sometimes recovery looks like running at sunrise because you finally feel safe enough to live. ❤️
Good morning from our happy donkeys. 🫏☀️
Their morning races are nothing unusual here — running from one end of their sheds to the other, play-fighting, chasing each other and burning off all that energy.
But today, one donkey made me pick up the camera.
Look for the donkey with the cruel mark on his body left by his former owner.
When he first arrived, he was so frightened that for days he would not even go to the feeding trolley if the other donkeys were there. We had to put his food separately.
And physically, he was just as broken.
He could barely move and spent almost his entire first week on fluid therapy.
Now look at him.
Running.
Racing.
Play-fighting.
Keeping up with healthy, younger donkeys as though he has always belonged there.
That is what stopped me this morning.
It is not only that the fear has left his mind.
Life has come back into his body too.
I still haven’t had the chance to properly share his update with you — but I will very soon. ❤️
Please watch the very first little puppy carefully.
Look at his body.
He is trembling.
This is what street life can leave behind in a tiny animal — fear so deeply learned that even a person simply walking past can make the whole body shrink back.
Outside our walls, these babies learn to survive before they ever learn to play.
Fear of people.
Fear of noise.
Fear of hunger.
Fear of being hurt.
And then they come to us.
At TAWF, we have tried to build something very different from a place where rescued animals are simply kept alive.
We want them to feel safe enough to become children again.
And slowly, the frightened little bodies begin to change.
The puppy who was trembling becomes the puppy climbing into our arms.
The baby who hid becomes the baby demanding attention.
They bark at us, argue with us, follow us everywhere, make trouble, play, cuddle — and finally discover something every animal deserves to know:
I am safe here.
I have a voice here.
I do not need to be afraid anymore.
This is the life we want for every rescued baby who enters our gates.
But winter is coming, and we have so many little ones like these in our care. Please help us keep them warm, protected and comfortable through the cold months.
Even a small donation can help provide bedding, warmth, food and care for these rescued babies.

Hippophagie
THIS is what your donations are becoming. ❤️
Old tyres turned into strong, long-lasting dog beds.
Quick-drying fleece bought by the roll.
Blankets stitched locally by hand.
Then fitted straight into the beds for the animals who will need them through the cold nights ahead.
We are trying to stretch every donation as far as possible — buy smart, make locally, waste less, help more animals.
Winter is already here at night, and we still have a long way to go before this huge shelter is warm enough for everyone.
A huge THANK YOU to every person helping us prepare. ❤️
Please keep supporting and SHARING — we still need many more beds, blankets and winter supplies.

Happy Sunday from two little bundles of chaos, cuddles and cuteness. ❤️🐾
I genuinely don’t think I have ever seen this much cuteness packed into two tiny puppies — and apparently my cameraman agreed, because he came back with nearly 20 minutes of footage. 😂
Honestly, the hardest part was deciding what to cut.
Their first attempt at eating from their own plate… their little wrestling match… and then both of them simply running out of battery and falling asleep.
Chubby cheeks, confused little faces, tiny paws and absolutely no idea how adorable they are.
If Sunday had a mood, I think this would be it:
Eat. Play. Sleep. Repeat. 😴🐶❤️
Happy Sunday everyone.
🥰 We all need a friend to lean on & our rescued donkeys are no different ‼️
😊 It's a joy to see them happy & relaxed, enjoying a home full of friendship, kindness & love. Everybody needs somebody & these lovely souls have each other. This is thanks to your support 🙏👏
🤎 Burnie enjoying his food & looking straight into the camera from our sanctuary in Israel 👋
