🇨🇳 This magnetic slime robot was directly inspired by the movie Venom.
Researchers at the Chinese University of Hong Kong created it using neodymium particles, PVA, and borax.
Some of the things it can do:
* Squeeze through gaps as small as 1.5 mm.
* Change shape to wrap around and grab objects.
* Self-heal after being cut, then stretch up to 8.6× its original length.
* Conduct electricity and reconnect broken circuits.
* Be controlled simply by rotating an external magnet.
* One of its main proposed uses is retrieving swallowed objects without surgery.
If this thing grows teeth, I'm out.
